"We could not have asked for a better stay or cottage to stay in! We needed a nice place to retreat to after long days at the convention center, and Larry & Sandra provided the perfect spot. The cottage was just the right size for a 6 night stay, complete with laundry room and anything you could need. The property is just stunning with the Koi pond and greenery. The crib was a huge benefit...and the home being kid-friendly was a primary reason for choosing the house. "The hosts were very easy to work with, and the house was in great condition. Very nicely decorated, modern, had all the necessities. The neighborhood--the street and nearby commercial district--are definitely in transition and not ideal for walking. We felt uncomfortable taking our dogs out, even as people who have lived in NYC/Chicago during the 80s :-). While it might feel different to people who are from the area or live on the street, it's a hard place to land for visitors."

"The house was well appointed, clean and had plenty of space. Communication with the owner was easy and she was quick to respond. The outside deck and screen room was covered in pollen, but this time of year that probably requires daily maintenance. We would not have been concerned coming back to the house quite late and finding another car in the driveway if we had known that the "in law suite" was also rented. However, it was irritating to be awakened at 11:15 pm on our 2nd night by noise...

"very conveniently located 0.7 miles from the Convention center - an easy walk on sidewalk and main roads. Some of the neighborhood further down the road was "sketchy" as my kids would say but we did not feel unsafe at any time. Backyard was nicely done with lots of outdoor seating, a fire pit and grill. Outside we could hear traffic and a few trains but not inside the house."
