Sunset Palms.Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The tree house, the food, the entertainment, the wonderful staff.
Cons: The linens could be a little softer, after a day in the sun it would be nice to have softer sheets. They ran out of towels, but were quick to bring.
Location: Parasailing, katamaran, a grill on the beach, this place is just GREAT
Lives up to it's name. Beautiful sunset every evening. The tree house "rooms" are spectacular. It's so much nicer than a hotel room. The food was out of this world. The staff fun. The overall experience was superb!!! I will go back.

Amazing place to come and relax. The staff was so friendly, food was amazing, and the beach was perfect. We loved our french doors to the deck! A much more quite and low key resort, which is exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to come back!

Peaceful, relaxing all-inclusivePosted Mar 25, 2015
We just recently stayed at Sunset at the Palms and fell in love. We have previously been to Antigua and Dominican Republic and this was by far our favorite place. The rooms were so nice and the staff and food was top notch. We loved the peacefulness and tranquility of the resort. Great place to get away and relax. We thought it was awesome that the resort was across the street from the beach and the the 1 minute walk with a traffic guard to cross the street was great. No fighting for a chair or spot on the beach. The beach bar and restaurant were great! We would highly recommend this to all of our friends.

Thank you for staying with us... They mean it.Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The STAFF!
Cons: A kibble ... Offering more than one type of beer!
This is what the hotel staff say. We know there are lots of options, thank you for choosing us. You feel welcomed from the first steps onto this beautiful property. Beautifully maintained gardens, rooms are all very private, clean and well appointed. The food is very good at buffet, the restaurant, the beach grill and at the chef's table. The beach is across the street but probably less of a walk than at larger resorts. No need to stress out about getting a spot at the beach. There's plenty of chairs in the sun or in the shade, you choose. The sand is white and the water is warm and turquoise. The pool although small is an option at times when you want a break from the beach. Which was never judging by the occupency rate in the afternoon. Would recommend for those who want a quality stay and a quiet retreat. No bingos, aerobics at pool or crazy games here. Just very friendly staff and great service.

We had an excellent stay, the beach was beautiful and kept clean. The atmosphere was quiet and felt quite private. I wouldn't choose anywhere else if I was going back to Negril, Sunset at the Palms would be the only choice.

Only Place to Stay in Jamaica!Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: We loved the ambiance of the tree house style lodging and tropical landscape. The staff was extremely personable, remembering our names from day one!
Cons: Although trivial, the only thing I wished for was a hook to hang my robe on in the bathroom!
Location: We took advantage of a couple excursions, zip lining and horseback riding, about 45-90 minutes away. The bus ride allowed us to see the countryside.
My husband, 20-year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay like no other vacation! The beautiful landscape and quiet surroundings was just what we needed. The staff at SATP is like no other. They are very warm and welcoming, and treated us like family. They are very "real" people and were happy to take the time to talk to us. We looked forward to seeing them each day! The food was delicious and there was enough variety so that we were always more than satisfied. The Chef's Table was enjoyable but could have been a bit more lively. A couple excursions broke up the week and were fun for all of us. We went on the zip lining and kayaking trip and while the zip lining was amazing the kayaking was a little slow as there had not been much rain. Stick to the zip lining! Horseback riding was my daughter's favorite with a trail through the countryside and then into the water on the beach. We went out on the glass bottom boat snorkeling for a couple of hours one morning which was great. Go in the early morning when the water is calm. A 15-minute cab ride to Rick's Café is definitely a must. Although crazy busy, it is worth seeing the cliff divers! The only negative experience we had was with a cab driver outside of the hotel gate. Negotiating with them upfront is a must. We were definitely taken advantage of. A trip to Rick's Cafe which probably should have cost $30-$40 cost us $90. Stick to the drivers inside the gate that work for SATP. Overall, wonderful experience!

Wonderful small boutique beach resort . I never learn people's names but staff was exceptional . Food was good most days at Buffett . Drinks were for real with premium liquor and not watered down . Intimate . Beach across the street was fine .plan to take family back later this year . Very clean and warm environment .

All Around Nice ResortPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: A-1 customer service! The staff were wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and catered to all of our needs without hesitation.
Cons: Although there is Wi-Fi in the lobby & in your rooms, it sucked! I would get right near the router in the lobby and barely had a signal.
Location: You can walk across the street to the beach and there's a grill and bar that's apart of the resort that is also all inclusive.
I have just gotten back from my vacation at this all-inclusive adult's only resort. The pictures of this resort on Expedia does Sunset at the Palms absolutely no justice! The resort is beautifully setup like a villa, was very clean and up-to-date. The room was very spacious and I loved the balcony. The resort it self was very quiet. I'm in my early 20's and my friend and I were the youngest there and even though we like to party it was nice to come back to our peaceful "home away from home." Also, the food was delicious, I personally would recommend reserving reservations at the Chef's Table and the restaurant within the Palms. Both of them include a 5 course fulfilling meal. All of the staff were very pleasant, friendly and you could tell they loved their jobs and helping others. This was my first time visiting Jamaica and because of the nice people there I will definitely be planning to come back very soon.
