Because we were returning to the hotel and had a booking, we were able to store some luggage there when we went away for a few days, which was particularly helpful. "Best shower we had on the whole trip! I'd give it 5 stars just for that, but it's also right in the middle of the action on the royal mile, and seems to be competently run. One warning, though: It looks super close to the train station on the map, but there are a couple hundred stairs between here and there. Save yourself and pay £10 for a taxi, or at least take a bus.
