Older property-well used. But for the price, ok

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The location was good and the staff was friendly
Cons: The breakfast was pretty meager but then many hotels are no longer offering it.
Location: The hotel was a little hard to find but right off the highway so was convenient
There is a reason this is priced below other properties. Well used, but clean and the staff was friendly and we slept well. VERY small bathroom, we had the handicapped friendly room and the only thing handicapped friendly was there was bars near the toilet.

Three's a crowd.

The room was clean and comfortable. However, about 10 pm, we were surprised by another guest who had been assigned our room. Not acceptable.

Better than expected, fixable flaws.

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: The overall attractiveness and good furnishing.
Cons: Hot water would be nice, so would a working toilet.
Location: Wasn't interested. It's easy to see the sign, much more difficult to get to the front door, another sign or two would help.
For the price, I didn't expect much. But the public space was very attractive, and the room was clean and functional. It even had a couch - too often the only chair in a hotel room is the straight back chair at the desk. To read a book, either sit up straight like in school or lay in bed. The problems are in the bathroom. Took a long time to get hot water in the shower that night. The water bill must be huge, and it's a terrible waste of a resource to run so much water. And, it never really got hot. Then, discovered that the toilet didn't flush. Wasn't about to experiment with a fix at 1 AM. Never did get hot water in the sink in the morning. It's all fixable - if management wants to fix it. No one at the desk when I checked out, no one responded to the bell, so I left a note about the hot water and the toilet. Doesn't seem like a nice way to treat the housekeeping staff to not have a functioning toilet.

Rodeway, No Way!

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Cost was reasonable.
Cons: Clean up the place, replace bedding, put screens in, make sure plumbing isn't leaking.
Location: A good German restaurant and bar within walking distance.
Walked into room #214, must have been over 100 degrees and the thermostat was set at 55 degrees. Then we looked at bed to see if we could see bed bugs. The blankets were those Velux type and they had the velvety coating rubbed off so there were big holes and netting left. Room was dirty! Asked for another room, which they gave us one on 1st floor. Tempurature was fine, no holes in blankets, but still felt filthy. Toilet appeared dirty, almost black with a smear of a toilet brush so there was a cleanish spot. Entire bathroom was dirty, toilet leaked and the front desk attendant put a towel down to soak up water and that's how it was left, so we were stepping on the towel all night. Windows: 2nd floor room had no screen and 1st floor had screen but hole, so in Minnesota when it's mosquito season, forget about letting fresh air into your room. We had brought food to eat and with the room feeling so dirty, we completly covered our table with paper towels. Walls need paint bad too.

Pros: Nice pool.
Cons: Pool closes too early

Our room was clean and decent. Also very quiet. Mediocre continental breakfast. Overall nothing special

U get what u pay for

Honestly it was not bad. Sadly my toilet was broke but was still able to use it. Staff tried to fix it but its an older building so it needed new guts in the toilet. The bed was a lil hard... But that was the worst of it. The place was extremely clean and the staff was very very nice. I would recommend this place if ur looking for a reasonable price hotel. My boyfriend was skeptical at first but ended up liking it there.

needs renovation / updated

Posted Jan 9, 2014
Cons: Renovate / Remodel
Location: Location was OK
Everything needed updated but it seemed clean. Temperature of room and shower water could not get regulated. The sink was cracked, bedspread and towels had holes in them.

One night leisure trip.

The hotel was fine but nothing fancy. Very basic. A little run down but clean. Our room was facing the parking lot and the noise was a little bothersome from the traffic. We stayed here one other time and our room was on the opposite side of the building which was much quieter.
