Good price but needs some work

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Just recently became a Howard Johnson so they are working on improvements. Property is split on each side of the street. The side we were on had no ice machines and looked like one bedroom efficiency apartments. The rooms were clean but we only received one wash cloth for two people the night we checked in and then didnt have any for the next two days and were given extra hand towels to use. Given time it should get better but is still worth a one to two night stay.

Very large clean rooms

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Low cost, large rooms. Security was very good.
Cons: Modernize the TV.
Location: Very close to the water and San Diego. Many good restaurants within walking distance. Chula Vista police drive by around every 5 minutes or so.
Was quite surprised how nice the rooms was for as little as I paid. Very large king size bed was quite comfortable. However, it was so big the bedroom door couldn't shut, which was no big deal. Large living area, came with a kitchenette which I didn't use. TV was an old tube style, but no big deal, it worked. Area was a little sketchy, but doesn't bother me. Many areas to eat and such within walking distance. Close to water.

Worth it's low price for a night

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The rate.
Cons: They took a photocopy of my driver's license (and my husband's) and credit card. I didn't like that and they didn't really explain why.
Location: The neighborhood was a little sketchy, but again, the price was right.
It isn't a fancy hotel. But for the price we paid, we got a place to stay and breakfast in the morning. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. The TV was in the "living room", not in the bedroom but that was okay. One could consider the room a suite - hee hee.

The room was okay it was a 2 room with a king bed and pull out couch the back room was really hot. The fridge was broken and the ice maker downstairs was broken too. The area was ghetto, hotel staff wren't too helpful. The whole place was sketch.

I liked this hotel because it's very comfortable and close to everything. Like sea world, San Diego zoo, Zafari,Taco Bell, mc Donald and some convenient store. I really love to stay here.

You get what you paid .....and then a little less.

Pros: It was the cheapest at San Diego during Comiccon.
Cons: Improve the quality of cleaning the rooms.
Location: The blue line trolley station is close as also Aunt Emma's restaurant. Excellent place for breakfast.
It was San Diego at ComicCon.... basically a getting a room with a floor and a blanket would do....however, you end up paying twice the amount just because of that week, but no extra effort....and it is OK.... What it is Not OK is that your room is barely clean... and the cherry on the top is that hotel staff go through your stuff and steal your phone charger...common !!!... It is a 10 dollar piece of equipment... it is worthless to you, but to the one in need of a phone charge like me it is priceless.... well been in this hotel and done that....
