Hotel needs TLCPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The swimming pool
Cons: Needs to be updated ,very poor facilities, poor wi if /internet connection , no sky or TV choice
Location: Nothing much to see, location far from Center ,but near to beach, good sun set view you really need to have a car.
Was very peaceful , but found the local bus service a bit hit or miss.

Great View—But Nothing Near By!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: We really enjoyed the staff, the view, and the breakfast.
Cons: We did not like that the pool closed at sunset. The chicken salad at their restuarant was way overpriced for the 6 bite size pieces of chicken it had.
Location: There is nothing near by—you will absolutely need a car if you stay at the hotel. I didn't listen to another reivew which mentioned this fact.
Comfortable hotel with a great view and lovely pool. The staff was very helpful when it came to getting us a rental car for our second day. I should have booked a car for our two night stay because there is NOTHING near by. Breakfast was good, they even had an authentic Greek dessert with breakfast. So, if you want to be away from everything this is your hotel. The mattresses were very hard and the pillows were very stiff.

Needs some investment.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Good things about this hotel: refrigerator in room, hairdryer in room, nice pool. Bad things about this hotel: uncomfortable beds, terrible pillows, poor breakfast, need a car to get about. This hotel isn't all bad but I really would not recommend it. Its position means you really need a car to get about. We thought we could get the bus but were left standing at the bus stop twice as packed buses sailed past us, so we got a car. The breakfast is not good unless you just want cornflakes or squares of pizza, bread, egg mayonnaise (?) or chocolate spread. The pillows are cheap and lumpy. The place is just a bit depressing really and needs a bit of investment. Many of the sun loungers are ripped and need replacing, the pool bar is for show only and the staff seem really sad.

One week in SantoriniPosted Sep 23, 2013
We spent one week at this hotel and we had an excellent vacation. The hotel is located far from the town, which we really appreciate. It was very quiet. We had a maisonnette, so the room was quite big. The beds were hard, so maybe the possibility to had a overlay mattress would be appreciated. The pool is amazing and very big. The breakfast was limited, maybe a toaster and more fruits would be appreciated. The staff is very friendly. We had an excellent view from our balcony of the island and the sunset.

Great caldera viewPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a family-run hotel. They work very hard and are very friendly and accommodating at the hotel and restaurant across the street. The property has a lovely out door setting with a very large pool. The restaurant has spectacular view of the caldera. The location was good for us, as it was away from the crowds and traffic of Fira, Imerovigli and Oia. We had a car. You must has a car as the location is remote, but in a very good way. The rooms themselves are basic, no-frills, but we will stay here again for the hospitality.

Nice hotel, fab pool and very helpful staffPosted Aug 19, 2013
We have just returned from Santorini and had a fabulous holiday. The island is really for couples but we took our 2 boys (18 and 13) and we all had a great time. Hotel was really nice and staff extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was large, clean and quiet and our youngest son seemed to spend most of his time in it! The rooms were cleaned every day, beds made and fresh towels. The restaurant across the road has a stunning sunset view but can be a little bit pricey. You will also need to have some sort of transport unless you want to wait for the buses which stop right outside hotel but don't seem to have any sort of timetable! The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was adequate and fresh with fruit, yogurt, eggs, bread etc. but a little variation would have been better. On the whole we had a really lovely week and would return to Caldera View.

Nice views, nice pool, room lacking.Posted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Pool and staff
Location: Very secluded. There is a bus stop outside but it never seemed to run to schedule. I definitely would recommend renting a car.
The hotel was really great when first walking in, really nice pool and nice exterior styling. Also had a great view of the sunset from our room and the restaurant across the road. However once we were inside our room, it was quite different. It may be beacause we had a classic room but it was incredibly small with curved ceilings in the corners. Having a larger or superior room would be a good idea. We also had a problem with the lock on our door. It was pretty sticky and a bit difficult to use. Bathroom was another issue. There was only a handheld shower head with no hook with no set aside space so we were showering above the toilet, sink, etc. and the floor did not drain well so we ended up with a puddle for the duration of our stay. Staff were really nice and helpful. We had a window break due to the wind and it was fixed almost immediately.

Good but a bit out of the wayPosted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
I enjoyed the venue but was surprised at how far out of Megalochori village the Resort is. From the website description I thought it was close to the village where other members of our group were staying.
