A comfortable and relaxing b&b in a good location

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: The overall relaxed feel including a comfy bed and a good shower and it was conveniently located for exploring a good section of the coast.
Cons: Didn't spot any toiletries in my bathroom but there was a shop nearby in case like me you forgot things.
Location: Plenty! Bamburgh castle, Lindisfarne/Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Cragside (National Trust)
I stayed 3 nights over the Easter weekend in a twin room. I found the accommodation comfortable and nicely presented with views across surrounding fields and out to sea. I discovered they own the adjacent riding school and was able to organise a beach ride over breakfast. The b&b is about a 10 min walk into Seahouses and a short drive to Bamburgh and Beadnell, which were my favourite discoveries along the Northumberland Coast. The owners made some good meal suggestions, which I enjoyed and I also thought the welcome cookies in my room were a nice touch. There was a good breakfast selection too, which was freshly prepared to match everyone's requests. In summary I had a very relaxing few days at Springwood and would most definitely stay there again.
