We like quirky places and this is on a whole new level. Beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and a real fire going in the summer, so a glass of wine and a book by the fire is just perfect. Just love the place!

This hotel is unique and absolutely lovely! The owners were friendly and helpful and so we're the ladies in the dining room. The breakfast was delicious..We would certainly stay here again.. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is right by the A1 so the turning for West Cawledge Park is directly off the A1.

A very unusual quirky property lovingly totally restored by the owner some 45 years ago! We were on the first floor ! The cooked breakfast was lovely and the beds comfy and all the staff were delightful , particularly the owners Peter and Evelyn. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

A nice stay. Pros : a quirky house not devoid of charm. It was nice to learn about the house history. Cons : access direct on the A1 is a bit difficult. Room (especially bathroom) and staircase access too cramped. Confusion about the breakfast hours.

Very quirky. It’s a marmite property, love it or hate it. We loved it staying in this renovated property that had many of its original features. Most rooms were on the ground floor overlooking a square courtyard. Unfortunately we had to climb some steel stairs to our spacious old fashioned room which was difficult with my disabilities. We would though go again because of its uniqueness.
