Excellent choice of Hotel

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Clean and friendly atmosphere. Great with couple or family stay.
Cons: nothing to say at this time.
Location: Paddington station express is only 15 minutes away to go to Central London.
Very convenient going around the city. Recommends to get a 7 days train pass, no worries. Cleanliness and staff friendly. Free breakfast is superb. Rate is very reasonable.

Great Hotel - Not so great parking!

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Clean, Comfortable, Great breakfast options, good location for public transport into London and 4 miles away from Legoland.
Cons: PARKING - If more parking spaces could be added for hotel guests - that would be a huge BONUS!
Location: We went to Legoland - 4 miles away by car and we also took the train to London Paddington - 2 adults & 2 kids travel card were £27.80 inc zones 1-6.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Fri 29th – Sun 31st Aug in a family room (2 Adults & 2 children). The hotel is clean, comfortable and welcoming and for a 3 star hotel, it was great. It’s well-located and ideal for the station which is right next door and only about 25min to London Paddington. Legoland is also 4 miles away, which we got to by car. Our room was 702 and we had a good view of the Train station and the big Tesco on the other side of the tracks. Dove Soap dispensers were provided above the sink and in the shower cubicle and the en-suit was clean and contemporary – my kids loved that the door to the bathroom would swing all the way back and lock to the frame of the shower, giving you privacy for the toilet – little things! Continental breakfast was included in the price which offered a simple cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausages and baked beans amongst the cereal, yogurts, cheese, fresh fruit, croissants, toast & jams, juices and hot beverages. This is self-serve and is available from 6.30am – 10am Mon – Fri and 7am – 11am on weekends though its recommended to get there early as possible if you want to avoid the rush which is usually between 7.30 – 8am onwards! Evening meals were also offered if you wished to dine in their restaurant, though I didn’t seem the evening menu or prices. The only problem at this hotel is the parking. There are about 26 free parking spaces available for this hotel that offers 141 bedrooms with a first come first served policy!

Good location

Posted Aug 22, 2014
I found this hotel a good standard. Wasn't keen on the bed though it was very soft and I'm used to a harder mattress. It was clean and the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was ok, just need to go early as it gets very busy! Parking was a bit of a struggle and I had to park in the station car park instead for £18 over two days. Overall a pleasant stay but wouldn't stay again only because of the bed.

Nice hotel close to train and bus station

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The central location , free breakfast and the very nice staff
Cons: Maybe have a few more hot breakfast items
Location: Train to London, Windsor which is about 6miles away.
Wonderful hotel if you are thinking about going to Windsor or even London for a day, the train station is a 5 min walk away, town centre 10 mins where there is plenty of places to eat, the hotel it's self only have a small car park but it's free (get there early to get a space) the free breakfast was good there was plenty of things to have even cooked things.

Good for a stopover

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Good for a quick stopover if you get a good price. Breakfast buffet includes hot and cold and is good value if included. It's right next to the train station so proabbly good for day trips to London. Be warned there is limited hotel parking so if it's busy you will have to park in the train station carpark. It's right next to the hotel but you will have to pay.

Great location for train into London

Stayed one night as a family of 4 (with two teenagers). Right next to train station, so easy to get into London. Lots of young families. Not much parking, which is unfortunate because this is a nice hotel.

Next to Slough station

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Convenience and early breakfast.
Good option for overnight before flying out of Heathrow. Take a trip to Windsor the night before, on the train. Then you can catch a bus to the airport on the next day.
