The hosts were lovely, and the gourmet 3 course breakfast served daily was simply amazing. The home was charming, and cozy and filled with everything that made the stay delightful. Walking across the street to a lobster dinner on the water was an added bonus. We’d love to return to the Spouter Inn. "

Easy launching from their dock and a dedicated float that allows easy in and out. Shannon and Gil are great hosts; they arranged lobster from son’s catch one day and cooked it for us! "Lovely piece of property off Hwy 1 right outside Camden and close to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park! Room was spacious with convenient parking. Breakfast was fabulous, dropped at the door each more at your specified time. Was able to do a load of laundry when we first arrived. We were early but purchased a bottle of wine in the lobby and sat on the porch while waiting on laundry and room. Very nice staff."

"I traveled solo and it was the perfect respite. Check in is simple, Pilot welcomes you with a wagging tail and gives the grand tour. Having left my own furry friend at home, I was happy for his company. Furnishings are more updated than the photos show. I can't imagine anyone needing anything more than what this cottage provides. Mind your head when you climb the spiral staircase. I was grateful for the bluetooth speaker in the living room. This was a perfect solo stay, I'd recommend for couples...

"Had the good old field of what we always called a "camp." Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and glassware, etc. The lobster processing facility made for a bit of noise and a pretty steady stream of traffic. A lot of trucks, from pickups to semis coming in and out. Didn't really bother us a whole lot but it might bother other people. Overall the view of the water was pretty nice except for the power lines and there's not much that can be done about that. Have to have electricity after all."
