"The room was clean and ready ahead of schedule which was convent for us as we traveled 5 hours to get there. We had a king suite Room #5 on the front of the building. Very close to the road and you could definitely hear the traffic. Not the Inns fault. The included breakfast was very good."

"My wife and I had a delightful time at the historic Waldo Emerson Inn. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng. "Don't be mistaken by first impressions as you drive up to this property. I'd like to call it a diamond in the rough. The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. Park your car and forget it. Everything is within easy walking distance. This is our second time for this property and will definitely try to stay again next year. "

"The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a shared bathroom for the floor, which was fine for us since only one other room was occupied. (I don’t know how that goes when the inn is full.) We did not take advantage of any of the other common areas (living room w/TV, sitting room). The entire house is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style, with lots of furniture, busy wallpaper, and decorative items on the shelves, dressers and side tables. "The Elmere House Bed and Breakfast was incredible in every way! Their daily breakfasts were so amazing—so delicious! Michael and Bill, the inn keepers, worked so hard to make our stay the best. We have stayed in B and B’s all over the world, and this one comes in #1. Our suite was large and beautiful with a fireplace, four-poster bed, and gorgeous pine floors.
