“Great location - accommodating”

Accommodating and responsive staff. Rooms meet all your basic needs - and suites are very nice. Rooms have ability to cook and store food. Small store on site for basic needs. Great location to the entrance to Yosemite and close to the valley floor. Right along the highway, but if you get a river view room you are looking out on a beautiful view and hear the water rushing over the rocks. Lots of wild life - saw deer on property. Pool- jacuzzi

“Nice and close to Yosemite”

Hotel changed our room due to faulty plumbing in the room. They upgraded us and the new room was very nice. Indoor pool needed some work and the jacuzzi was broken- not a big deal.

“Yosemite Weekend”

Totally enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We were meeting friends in Yosemite and nothing was available so gave Yosemite View a try. Fabulous! We had a river side room with a balcony, gas fireplace, kitchen and jacuzzi bath tub. Felt amazing after hiking all over Yosemite. Will definitely stay again. Thanks

“great affordable lodge!”

We got a room at Yosemite View Lodge for a night before we went cross-country skiing. We mainly got it because it was a reasonably priced room close to the park, and didn't expect much. This ended up being a very nice place to stay! While it was fashioned as a motel the rooms included beautiful photos of Yosemite and there was a cute restaurant and bar/pizza place on the property. There's an indoor pool and hottub, too. After we checked out and began our ski trip one of our party had a broken ski 5 miles out so we had to return without making it to the hut we'd planned on sleeping in. We ended up staying 2 more nights at the Lodge at the last minute and they gave us a good deal on them. I will definitely stay here again if we need a room around Yosemite!

“Mommy”

In other reviews the towels and pillows were not goot so I took my own but I was liked having a kitchenette. I took my kids and there was enough room for girls to move about the room. The location was perfect.

“Loved it!!!”

The hotel is located just outside the Yosemite National park entrance. The rooms are big with a nice view of the Merced River. The staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

“Lovely Alterative to Valley Accomodations”

We stayed in a King Spa room for two nights on our Honeymoon before going on to the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Park. The room was lovely with a large spa right next to the King Bed, and a kitchen with stovetop. microwave, fridge, plates, cutlery, glasses, etc. The scenic Merced River rushed by over rapids right outside our balcony. The dining room was quite nice with good food, salad bar, and a nice selection of wines and drinks available. A Pizza Kitchen is available as well as an alternative. The hotel is a few hundred yards from the Park boundary, but Yosemite Valley is at least a 20-30 minute drive away, albeit on a beautiful scenic road. But if Park accomodations are booked, or are too expensive for you, this is a highly acceptable alternative to staying in the Valley. We found it quite romantic for the two of us, but a lot of families with children stayed there as well and seemed quite content.

“Great location, nice hotel”

Room was great, very clean and comfortable with a great view of the river and very close to park enterance. Trouble with in room spa tub but when advised was fixed within 10 minuites (although we were there when hotel was not very full due to unexpected snow). The restaurant however was not the same experience; the food was way too expensive, not very good and the service was poor. We had brought some food for lunch and breakfast to eat in the park or in the room (it had a fairly well equipped kitchenette) and after one meal were glad we had brought food.
