The inn is/had obviously been loved by someone who put a lot of effort into details. We were welcomed with coffee and other comforts. The room was comfortable. The gift shop was cute. The rooms are cozy and clean. Restaurant/bar is open for dinner and was reasonably good. Cons: No real breakfast options at the inn and not much in town. Front desk doesn’t open until 8 AM. No housekeeping service at all. No common areas to hang out or do things other than the pool; which is open in the summer months only. Very convenient to the south entrance at Mariposa Grove. Our room was lovely with cathedral ceiling and an attached private deck. On site shopping for conveniences. Restaurant had a limited menu but adequate. Beautiful old, carved wood, stone fireplaces gave a very cozy vibe. Grounds included an authentic older firetruck you could explore and learn more about. Simple room but very comfortable, we rode the sugar pine railroad while we were there, a must do! Short drive to Yosemite and much more reasonable than staying in the park. Stumbled on it while driving in Yosemite and needed a break from camping and this little gem came up and couldn’t be happier! Amazing staff and they have a great restaurant on sight. One stop place for relaxation! The bed is so comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. There’s a train ride just steps away that’s been on property for years! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made mornings especially enjoyable. Parking was super easy, and the location is hard to beat — just about 2 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite, which made accessing the park incredibly convenient. One of the highlights is the nearby train depot and scenic ride, which adds a unique charm to the area. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful historic atmosphere and looks fantastic, though the food itself was just okay.
