roadside and a little worn
The GOOD: Room was quite and bed was comfortable providing for good sleeping. Artsy paintings and decorations, very cool and Santa Fe like. Outdoor picnic table uder tree charming with lots of outdoor flower and rose gargens. Nice continental breaksfast with delicous homemade muffins. The BAD: The hotel is on the roadside , so there is alot of car and truck noise when at the pool outdoors. Shower was small and water pressure was fair. Outdoor pool was cold. Hot tub did not work (jets) and tub was dirty (tree debre) and built up sun tan lotions on side walls.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to browse around town of Ojai. Very neat little town. Surrounding mountains are lovely and there is a great walking , jogging path from the hotel to Ojai across the street from the hotel.

Perfect Quick Get Away
It was a perfect quick get away with the perfect ambiance for myself and my 26yr old daughter with no traveling plans in mind. This is a place that we both would come back to with each other or with others, to recommend to family and friends and couples with no children. A place to come home to. With spirit and warmth even 4 days before Christmas. And I would imagine any time of the year!

Great bed, but the neighborhood lacks...
The Blue Iguana Inn was a nice hotel room for the price, especially the extremely comfortable king bed. However, the surrounding neighborhood left much to be desired - we stayed in Ojai during our trip to Santa Barbara, mostly for the cheaper prices. But what a mistake - all of the restaurants in the area closed by 8pm, and the few establishments that remained open told us their kitchens had ’just closed’ while treating us like tourist scum. And no one outside of the hotel desk clerk was at all helpful in finding somewhere to eat - we eventually had to drive all the way back to Ventura to find food.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Stay at the hotel for a good night’s sleep, but eat before you arrive and be prepared to head out first thing in the morning. Don’t stick around Ojai...

Great Ojai Style, Child Friendly
The staff were welcoming and we were comfortable with our two small daughters in the room and at the pool and jacuzzi, which were lovely. The decor and landscaping were distinctive and tasteful. The property is removed from town by a couple of miles, but there is a walking/running trail adjacent. The only drawback was the traffic noise near the pool.
Go to Boccali’s on the other side of town and sit outside under the oaks on Fri/Sat/Sun nights. Gorge on pizza, drink some wine and let the kids frolic! Say yesssss to the strawberry shortcake.

Laid Back California If you can believe it.
What a pleasnt surprise after the hustle and busy pace of the Bay Area or Los Angles. The Blue Iquana offers great accomadations in a very relaxing and quiet setting. Great place to relax in a mountain setting. Would definitely stay again, at least, a two or three day stay.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Short trip to Ventura for great shopping and food. Ojia has quaint little shops that are great fun.

Beautiful
The 1 bedroom suite was like staying in a lovely townhouse. Hardwood and tile floors, wonderful colors indoors and throughout the hotel. Private but still great for my 10 and 13 year old daughters. Nice pool, breakfast, and helpful staff.I highly recommend this oasis in Ojai.

Would Stay There Again
We found our stay enjoyable. Loved having our own kitchen for a late night snack. The staff was very friendly and the room was lovely.
