Every person that we encountered had a great attitude and more than willing to assist us. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Would recommend it to anyone interested in knowing about it

Would Definitely Stay There Again

The Hampton Inn Downtown-Riverwalk is a nice hotel located within walking distance to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. It does not have the same amenities as an upscale hotel may have (does not claim to be upscale), but it does have a friendly staff, a nice, new breakfast area (free breakfast), free internet, free parking, and comfortable rooms. It always amazes me how the more reasonably-priced hotels offer these types of services for free! Don’t expect that at the higher-priced hotels. The fitness room is okay (not many weights, but water and towels available), and the outdoor pool was in acceptable condition.

Would stay again!

Spent 3 nights at this motel. Beds were comfortable. The hot breakfast had eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee and the regular toast and pastries which was nice. The staff were very nice and knowledgable. Located at the end of Padre Blvd. which meant less crowds and clean sand on the beach within 5 minutes walking distance away. Would stay again!

Great Value and Location to Convention Center

This hotel was a great value for the location. It is close to the convention center, and a great price.

Staff very friendly and accomodating.

The staff made us feel welcome, the continental breakfast was great. Complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7. We enjoyed our stay very much.

free parking, close to convention center and downtown. The pool was small, and no whirlpool. Great place to stay.

Movie Channel charges

On the last morning, I received an invoice from the hotel that showed a charge of $29.99 + tax for a movie that I supposedly watched on the first night that I checked in at the hotel. I knew that I had TV on, but also knew very well that I didn’t order any movie on pay-per-view/ movies on demand. I went to the front desk at the hotel and explained the situation to the front desk manager at that time. She went inside the office room and came back after a minute and said that the movie was on for about 6 minutes and therefore concluded that the movie was switched on by me unintentionally and unknowingly, and therefore I would receive a credit for the amount. I am extremely upset with this incidence because if the pay-per-view or movies-on-demand rates are so high (~30 USD), the hotel should have a better way to set up it’s approval. I think it is unreasonable and inappropriate on the hotel’s part to just charge any amount of money for any service just because the customer have provided the hotel front desk with their credit card information. Two years ago, at a Hampton Inn in Dallas, TX, I had similar experience regarding shuttle service and had to pay $10 extra. After my recent experience with Hampton Inn at San Antonio, I am going the look for a second option for my hotel stay and avoid Hampton.

Be Fair and reasonable! Remember, it is easy to loose a customer and for every customer you loose, you actually loose ten more customers!

San Antonio

All in All it was average. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days. The second day, the housekeeper did not replace our coffee, so we had none on the 3rd morning. It was clean, but old looking. The breakfast in the morning was okay. It was VERY close to the Alamo, and that was GREAT!

worked well for our trip

We always try to stay at a Hampton Inn when on a trip. This hotel was close to the riverwalk, walking distance,altho, it was so hot we couldn’t really enjoy it much. Very easy access to the highway, which was very important as we traveled daily to the air force base. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, like always.

Nice Place

The Hampton was a nice spot to stay near downtown. For the price you cant go wrong. Myself I went to S.A. just to party so the Hampton was just right for me.

Nice pick for central location

Overall, enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn. Would definitely stay there again. Great location (lots of main attraction within short walking distance). Helpful, courteous staff. Hot and cold breakfast buffet had something for everyone to enjoy. Only wish they had a balcony.

Hampton Inn San Antonio

I was extremely satisfied with this property. The staff was very outgoing and helpful, the room was well maintained and clean and the location was great - only two blocks from the Alamo and River Walk. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was courteous, the location was great (walking distance to the Alamo, Riverwalk and Convention Center) and the rooms are very comfortable. They have comfortable beds which is very high on my list and the extra bonus was free parking. I will definitely stay there again.

Perfect location for the price!

With S.A. being a busy tourist town this hotel was in a great spot. It was a minute from Interstate 37 and walking distance from the Alamo and other cool spots. The breakfast is a standard Hampton Inn breakfast, which is fine with me and the staff was very friendly and worked hard to keep up with the busy demand. Great Job!!!!
