Giamandes Hotel was a delightful surprise. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, especially the cappuccinos—smooth and bold. The town itself is a gem, with two stunning boutiques and excellent restaurants that made every meal memorable. I loved the peaceful vibe: dogs napping in the streets, locals warm and welcoming, and everything felt well cared for. The views? Absolutely gorgeous. A perfect blend of charm and serenity. ---

What a wonderful gem! Wedged among the cliffs in the traditional old Kastraki village. Hugged by serenity and surrounded by natural beauty. Friendly and helpful hosts family. Large rooms with balcony and fireplace. Generous breakfast. Location is very close if wanted to walk the Monasteries loop. You are just 20 min walk to St Nikolas Anapafsas. The village itself has the beautiful church and plenty of low key tavernas serving delicious food. Unforgettable 3 days!

Hotel is very nice, clean, with very polite and helpful staff. It is very close (5-10 min drive) to all monasteries, so it has perfect location. Breakfast buffet is great with variety of options to choose from. Parking on the street is in general available but may be challenging if you have bigger car. There are several dinner options within walking distance in local taverns as well as nice restaurant at the hotel.

Our other hotel canceled on us and I was able to book a last minute room here. No regrets! Very kind reception at night and tips on where to find free street parking. The room was comfortable with the balcony being the best part. You can see the mountains and tiny monasteries from there if you get a mountain view. Beautiful, small hotel. Wonderful staff, esp. front desk, they're friendly and responsive. Views from the property were awesome. Owner/boss who was at the cafe by the street was also great. In broken English, not only did he recommend a Taverna that he likes, he even offered to drive us in his car. One small thing though, our bathroom seemed like it has a broken glass door that was not replaced. And since there was no shower curtain, water would splash on to the rest of the toilet area.
