"The cottage was cozy and comfortable. An easy location to walk to town and when the weather was nice we could sit out front with our happy hour wine and snacks and have a view of the town and harbor. The house was well appointed. It is an historic house, so those who like modern amenities may not be as comfortable. We loved the eclectic decore and charm of the cottage and found it had everything we needed. "We have stayed at this property several times and is our first choice for Akaroa. Our four night stay on a wet chilly week was very comfortable due to the underfloor heating. Its location is excellent on the waterfront and the on site parking is at the door but can be a little limited at busy times."
