After a long flight, I arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. Check-in was seamless, as I had completed it two days prior. However, when I entered my room, it was very dim and the light was flashing like a lighthouse. As a solo female traveler, I was concerned. I went downstairs and spoke to Peter, showed him the video I took, and he agreed it was strange. He promised me a new room for the next two days, as the hotel was fully booked that night. The next morning, after not getting much sleep, I packed my things and went to the lobby, only to be told by another staff member that the hotel was full for the rest of the weekend. This put me in an embarrassing situation, as I had to return to my original room. That said, I still had a great time in Budapest. I’m surprised by the unwelcoming room, the false promises, and the lack of compensation—especially from a hotel associated with a Michelin-star restaurant and the Solid rooftop breakfast.

El hotel nos encantó es muy elegante y con todo lo necesario. El check-in rapido y facil. El personal muy amable. Las habitaciones amplias y con todo lo necesario. Los baños muy espaciosos. Los desayunos excelentes, mucha variedad y todo delicioso. El hotel es muy centrico y esta en un area muy agradable cercano a la estacion de metro. Totalmente recomendable.

Extremely clean room with super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection for breakfast. Free tea and coffee 24/7 in foyer was a nice bonus. Within walking distance of metro and parliament.

The room was nice, we had a balcony looking out to the city which was a nice bonus but did not get much use in winter. The hotel is well connected via metro to the city but is also walkable.
