“The property was well equipped. Cold A/C and the fans were nice. Loved having coffee in the morning and sitting out on the front porch.”

“We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. They had special touches like robes, luxury bath towels, and fantastic smelling shampoo and……

“This is a cool and different experience than usual. Outdoor shower is pretty nice. It's a bit of a way down some windy backcountry roads, but I enjoy getting to see off the beaten path. A nice, peaceful stay outside of the city of Fredericksburg. We had an issue with the hot tub working, and host was super responsive in trying to get it fixed. Would recommend for someone looking for a different, interesting type of place to stay.”

“We really enjoyed our Glamping adventure at 12 Fires! We arrived, got settled, turned on the AC unit and went to the tasting room! Mike was so incredibly hospitable and it was super fun to geek out about wine with him. After a great dinner in Fredericksburg, we came back to a nice cool "bedroom" in our tent. We could hear the road noise, but the AC unit was great "white noise" and we slept soundly. We even had a mini-fridge for stashing our wine purchases. Coffee on the front porch in the……

“This was a very lovely place with lots of potential but when we check in the tent was completely closed in and the AC unit was not running. I messaged but I was told that the AC unit was just to make it “comfortable to sleep”. It was well over 100 degrees in the tent when my 71 year old mother and I arrived. I have stayed in glamping tents before but they always turn the AC unit on before you arrive so it’s not so horribly hot. There were also ants everywhere. My mother and I had to leave to……

“Loved the whole experience! Will be staying again”

“My Mom and I stayed in tent #3 and enjoyed it very much. It seems the fellas thought of every convenience. We were missing nothing aside from some propane to heat our water. Thankfully this was mentioned as a possibility in the printed info on the table in the tent and I contacted the on duty person as soon as we tested the water and found it was not heating. He was there in minutes and changed the tank. All was good. The only drawback is the proximity to the highway which results in a lot of……
