"I loved primrose cottage so much. It was just perfect for my solo trip. It really felt like a home from home, I felt so comfortable there. The duvet and pillows were so soft and plentiful. The Wi-Fi was great, no issues at all. The kitchen was very well stocked, more than it needed to be but my favourite part of the stay was the shower. "The house and facilities are fantastic, in fact it felt so homely and welcoming we did not want to come home. The owners are lovely people very friendly and helpful The area is great for getting to many close by areas and dog walks. Love the art around the gardens, fenced in garden great for our pooches. "Lovely character hotel in very peaceful surroundings. The staff were just lovely , friendly and chatty . Our room was in a good location and it was easy to get to the restaurant , bar and spa . The room was a good size and the towels were nice and soft, the hot water plentiful too. The only slight dent in the room was the condition of some of the fixtures and fittings . The carpet had quite a few stains on it , the shower settings were missing parts and the towel radiator missing coatings . That said everything worked just fine . The breakfast was good and the service excellent, good choice of fruit and juices . Hot food was tasty especially the eggs Benedict . The spa was enjoyable, the pool warm and the steam room and sauna just right . All in all an excellent and enjoyable stay ."

"Overall lovely stay staff very friendly efficient with prompt service. As a 4 star hotel a few things could be improved like a fridge in the room to keep the bottled water they provided cold, air conditioning but probably would be too expensive to fit due to the age of the building and paintwork here and there needed touching up. There was a problem checking in to the hotel as they asked us to pay again even though we had already paid. They said they would sort it on checkout but this could have worried some guests although we knew we were right so it didn’t bother us. Finally when we went to dinner and wanted to order a glass of wine they did not have any of the first choice of wine or the second choice and they didn’t have that many to choose from if you wanted to buy wine by the glass. After saying that we would definitely visit again and these are just minor pointers as constructive criticism to offer feedback. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be back on the summer "
