Valeni Boutique Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Honeymoon suite was exquisite. Staff were, as always, super helpful and nice. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and so rich!! Thank you!!"

Azur Hotel Volos by GHH

10/10 Excellent

"The best hotel in Volos. Friendly staff helpful. The hotel is well maintained modern easily accessible. The room was big modern and clean. Plenty of amenities. This will always be the hotel we stay at in Volos. Would recommend to anyone. It’s a great location right on the boardwalk and walking distance to all the shops."

Celine Volos by halu!

10/10 Excellent

"L’endroit était bien situé, j’aurais bien aimé avoir du sel du poivre un peu d’huile . comme je viens du canada cela aurait été apprécié. Je voyage en autobus je ne peux pas en trimbaler tous. Un petit chiffon pour nettoyer.. J’ai bien aimé l’endroit le calme. Merci à vous tous."

Iakovakis Suites & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We had an excellent stay in suite Zitta, perfect view, comfortable bed, clean jakuzzi, big and clean bathroom with everything you need, spacious terrace, tasty breakfast, parking for everyone, not close to taverns, you need a car. I had extensive communication in advance with Tonia and thaks to her hospitality I booked the best accommodation exactly as per our preferences."

Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa

8/10 Good

"The property itself was breathtaking. That alone would bring us back for a round 2 in the future. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The only downsides were 1) The television cable did not work 2) The bath tub backed up water onto the floor from the floor drain itself. 3) The beds were not comfortable. All in all, we had a terrific time. Despite the shortcomings this visit, we would return :)"

Lagou Raxi Country Hotel

8/10 Good

"Although the property is a little dated it's very clean and the staff is amazingly accommodating. The views from the pool and breakfast area are quite lovely. Please note that the hotel has stairs and not one level. There is not an elevator available. Inspect your room and make sure the shower and the AC work. The staff will make it right you just have to ask them. Nice place."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Ano Lechonia?

The best area to stay in Ano Lechonia is the village center itself, particularly around the main square and the streets leading off it.

This area provides easy access to local amenities and a sense of Ano Lechonia's traditional character. You'll find a few local tavernas offering authentic Greek cuisine and small shops for daily necessities. The central location also makes it convenient for exploring the surrounding Pelion region. Couples looking for a quiet retreat will appreciate the relaxed pace and local charm.

For those traveling with families who prefer a bit more space and direct access to nature, staying slightly outside the immediate village center, towards the olive groves or closer to the start of hiking trails, can be an excellent option.

When is the best time to go to Ano Lechonia?

The best time to visit Ano Lechonia is typically during the shoulder seasons of late spring (April to early June) and early autumn (September to October).

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm but not excessively hot, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Pelion region and enjoying outdoor activities. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience. The blooming wildflowers in spring and the changing foliage in autumn add to the scenic appeal.

For travelers looking to enjoy the beaches and warmer swimming conditions, the summer months of July and August are also suitable, though they can be busier and hotter.
