Magnificent
This beautiful cottage was our home base for our Redwood adventures & it could not have been more perfect! It was stocked with everything we needed and it was nestled in its own redwood forest so we were able to enjoy the serenity of the magnificent trees our entire stay whether we were out exploring the area close to Arcata or we were back from a busy day traveling and hiking. The location is so convenient to the Redwood National Forest and all that it has to offer as well as charming smaller communities around Arcata (Trinidad and Ferndale were two of our favorites). Thank you for sharing this special place with us.

Beautiful retreat
The home was so well done for the size and had all of the basic amenities the two of us needed. Just as described and what the pictures show. The outside area was so beautiful, private and serene - couldn’t have asked for a better location. The bed is nice and big, but is extremely hard for our taste and both of us woke up quite sore each morning. Could use a pillow top for sure. Overall was a beautiful and perfect retreat for the two of us on our anniversary.

Absolutely perfect
This cottage studio was perfect for a cozy weekend in the redwoods. The process was smooth and the home was exactly what we needed, the right size with amenities to cook at home and cozy up, while serving as a centrally located home-base for exploring Eureka and further up north in Redwoods National & State Parks. We will absolutely be return, and soon!

It's a lovely space, cozy with great light, in a beautiful setting with comfortable and nice amenities. By car it's not too far out of town, but because of the steep hills and distance it's not great for walking.

Great.....except for the bed
This was an amazing place to stay. Surrounded by redwoods, silent other than the sounds of mist condensing and dripping off the leaves, and still conveniently located near 101 and downtown Arcata. Our only complaint was that the bed was not very comfortable. (Both of us woke up sore more than once in our week-long stay) The sheets were flat and not fitted, so required constant maintenance and bunched in the night. The mattress was very firm, and would REALLY benefit from a memory foam topper, if not a total replacement. We hope those two points will be addressed by the owner (We tried contacting them through the rental agency, with no luck), as we would LOVE to stay there again, but are reluctant to do so if the sleeping isn't as amazing as the rest of the place. Hopefully they see this review, and let people (including us!) know that they're fixing those two things.

Loved it!
We loved the place. It was just perfect for the two of us to use as our base camp. The house is so cute and we found the forest around the house breathe taking. We could have used a couple of more towels but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Serene Redwood Retreat
We loved this cozy cabin nestled atop a hill among the redwoods! Architectural ceilings and skylights make this studio seem like a big secluded tree house. A large comfortable bed, real coffee maker, plush linens and a full (half-scale) kitchen made this a lovely retreat after days of hiking. Hungry? Be sure to check out Slice Of Humboldt Pie in Arcata.

Great location for 2. Very private with a treehouse vibe. Very roomy studio. Comfortable bed. Clean and updated. Convenient Murphy's Market & Deli right down the road w/ any grocies you'll need with a great deli w/ variety of hot & cold to go food items. Ate 2xs at El Chipotle Mex Restaurant which is very tasty. Close to anything & everything in Ferndale, Eureka & Arcata. Will stay again soon when we visit family again. We found our sweet spot! Beats any other place we've stayed.
