The state park is very pretty. The lodge is dated and needs some updating. Our room was very clean but the lobby needed swept. The restaurant was very good. They seemed to be lacking workers but those who were onsite were outstanding.

Liked the scenery and area around the facility. Did not like that the front desk did not have information about the property - brochures, flyer etc. that explained what was going/happening at the property. As an example - was not informed that the restaurant was offering Prime Rib on Friday night or that there was a breakfast buffet.

The updates to the property are wonderful. The cabin we stayed in was clean. It would have been nice if the trees were less in the back so we could see the lake more but we understood why.

No cell service. Wifi hardly works so dont count on working from a computer. Burr oak was a great place. The towns around are a little run down but with a friendly community
