The outside of Hometown Inn is not upscale but the rooms are. They are nicely updated and clean. The owners are hard working, professional and happy to help. It’s a deal. I stayed here last year and if I return next year this is where I’ll choose to stay. It’s conveniently located as well!

It was clean and adequate for spending Minimal time in the room. Shower was good although bar soap was about the size of a fingernail. AC is an old-time window type, but adequate.

The price is very good compared to other hotel/motels in the area. I would stay again as it's just a place to sleep. Clean, everything worked, there are no frills and nothing extra. The bad: there is a lot of highway noise as the room is not very well insulated. The bed was just ok, we didn't sleep well between the two. The property is not well maintained as far as the exterior or building goes. Again, for the price and a place to rest it worked.

Great place. It's old-fashioned as far as the building and the parking, not a chain motel. However, it was clean, easily accessible off a main highway, close to downtown, and the staff was very friendly. Parking is right in front of your room door, which I liked. I would definitely stay here again anytime I'm in Athens.
