Delightful Historic Fishermans Cottage By The Sea In Lovely Conservation Area

Tanera More was built as a fishermans cottage about 200 years ago and retains many original features. The situation on the shore of the Moray Firth makes it a delightful place to spend time simply admiring the views and the changing light over the sea. Great location for many outdoor activities. Walking, Cycling, Sailing, Birdwatching, Golf and horse riding can all be enjoyed locally. There are some excellent local museums for rainy days and good restaurants to be found in Fortrose, Munlochy and Cromarty. The highland capital of Inverness is only 10 miles away and boat cruises on Loch Ness are always popular. Ancient Pictish remains dot the landscape in this area which is mainly agricultural. It is a perfect gate way to the west coast for a day out to the Isle of Skye and the beauty of the more rugged west coast.

AMAZING - BOOK YOUR STAY
We had an absolutely amazing stay. Suzana was wonderful, meeting us with a big smile, great personality, and suggestions for our visit. The cottage is very cute and comfortable. It is in a great location to explore the surrounding area (Black Isle, highlands, etc). We even saw dolphins in the sea nearby! Only minor hiccup is that there is a washing machine but no dryer (we got lucky and it was sunny so we could hang-dry), but honestly other than that it was perfect.

Cozy waterfront cottage in quaint village
Well equipped cozy waterfront cottage on an Isle off Inverness; the gateway to the Highlands. Wife and I stayed 5 days and used for hub-spoke travel. Suzanna is a very helpful, flexable and responseful hostess. Comfortable king bedroom (adjoing double BR). Park next to house or on waterfront. Outside seating and sunsets. Good driving access to major highways and the small roads to castles and distilleries. Cute town, quiet and peaceful. Be prepared to relax. Authenic Scotland. Very strong internet speed for small town. Basic groceries within walking distance and several good restaurants on Isle. Highly recommend for quite getaway.

Beautiful little cottage
We had a lovely 3 nights staying here. Suzy was amazing from the start - excellent communication and the bottle of wine and shortbread was a lovely tough and really appreciated. The cottage was spotless and the interior was so cosy with a sea view. I literally sat eating my breakfast looking at waves directly out the front of the house. The house had everything you could possibly need. Great wee place and would definitely return.

Incredible location!
Such a beautiful, cozy cottage set in a wonderful location. It felt like we were out in a secluded fishing village, when in reality we were only about a 15 minute drive from Inverness. The village of Avoch was lovely to walk around in and all the locals were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again! Suzana was very responsive and easy to work with.

Cosy cottage by the sea
This was our third stay in this cosy and comfortable cottage. It is very well equipped with everything you could need, and is located right by the sea in a small village with good local facilities including a small supermarket and three takeaways. It is a good base for exploring and seeing the amazing scenery in this part of Scotland. Suzana is an excellent host and makes you very welcome. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous cottage, lovely view. Great welcome from owner, lots of insight where to go and what to do
Loved every second. From the warm welcome from Suzana, who had been available to answer any queries beforehand and was so accommodating. The cottage has all you need and more! The Black Isle is beautiful, great for cyclists, walkers and nature lovers alike. So much to see, unfortunately we needed more time!

Wonderful Stay
This property close to Inverness turned out to be exactly as advertised and as exactly what we were looking for. Cozy, well equipped and comfortable and with great views over the firth. The only drawback was that there is no pub in Avoch but we solved that by being welcomed to the local sports club as guests! Local fish and chips were great too!

Great cottage with a beautiful view
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped for a 10-day stay with our two young children (ages 4 and 1). The location was great for exploring the Black Isle as well as day trips a bit further out into the Highlands, not to mention the view right out the front window. Suzana was highly responsive and accommodating, even through some flight delays and rental car issues that changed our arrival time at the last minute. Highly recommended!

A lovely seaside cottage
This is an ideal location only yards from the beach with shopping and takeaways close by. The cottage is cosy and well-equipped with sea views from all rooms. There are plenty of day trip possibilities to wonderful country side. Suzana is an excellent host. Highly recommended.

Charming Seafront Cottage
A superb cottage in a lovely quiet setting facing directly onto the Moray Firth. Beautifully clean and with all the mod cons like decent WiFi. The host, Suzana, has been very obliging with our changed flights, and was extremely welcoming. Avoch is small but there are the basics on hand (shop and chippy) and it is just 20 mins to Inverness. It’s a great base to explore the northern highlands and the Black Isle itself has some lovely places very close by in Fortrose and Rosemarkie. A wonderful stay and much credit to Suzana.

This cottage was the perfect getaway from the city
A great peaceful location to explore the Black Isle ... our first visit as a family. Sea facing with great mature garden at the back to relax & start the day in. It had everything you needed with lovely personal touches & is obviously well cared for by its owner. Easy access to food shops & also takeaway in Avoch & nearby Fortrose! Rosemarkie beach & Crofters cafe a must. Experienced dolphins at Channery & Salmon leaping at Rogie Falls a Half hour away. Would all love to return some day

Perfectly situated in scenic Avoch with the coast literally on the doorstep of the property! Cottage well equipped, with a lovely private back garden. Good internet access and parking on the property. The local bus provides regular service to Inverness and other coastal towns.

Beautiful property, fantastic garden at the back of property,perfect location to relax and recharge. Only downfall is that there is no hotel/bar. The owner of the property is very welcoming and accommodating. We felt at home as soon as we stepped into the cottage. Will highly recommend this cottage to everyone and we will hopefully be back in the near future
