Excellent room with all facilities clean and working. Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff. High quality everything, the food is exceptional!

Excellent in every way.

Rooms nice - good size and quirky. Toilet flush overflowed. Gym very nice. Bar nice. Pillows way too soft. Breakfast largely undercooked - runny egg white, bacon on the edge of whether it was cooked or not.

The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces immediately outside the hotel. On busy nights manouvering into available bays is awkward due to angular layout especially if you are in a large/long vehicle ... but is possible pe. There is an overspill car park which is circa 25m x 25 squar immediately below the main car park so up steps to the hotel. Clean & tidy room, however well used and could do with refreshment. Staff very attentive. Would go again. Always room for improvement nence score.
