The chek in was very cold. We were reassigned from a 4* where it was indicated in the offer that we would be greeted with champagne glasses, to a 5* GL, where when we arrived, despite the recepcionist waited for us at the reception desk, did not make us sit, they did not even offer us a glass of water. I saw that the minibar was incomplete, maybe adapting it to the service 4*. The room was very clean and with all the standards and amenities of a 5*GL placed correctly. I missed a room service menu in the room and a television with more coverage of channels even with internet access. If I will paid for a 5*GL, many times I did, I would never go or advise this hotel for its service.

Quality and care in guest services and design
Absolutely beautiful hotel with very kind and helpful staff. Probably one of the most well designed hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Warm raw materials like wood and brick, wonderful treatment of natural light, and stone art. It felt dark and cozy and light and fresh at the same time—a difficult balance to hit! Only downside was that I had to change rooms because my first room was picking up a lot of ambient noise from the hall in the middle of the night. The hotel was very accommodating, I moved, and my new room was much quieter. And the neighborhood Eixample is very quiet and classy!
