We had a reservation for 3 double beds and the entire motel doesnt have it. We went and told front desk and they offered us another fold out bed that wouldnt fit unless you rearrangethe entire room. False advertising big time!! Other cons: bathroom door doesnt close, must be swollen from moisture. Light is on a sensor and turns off randomly. Dead bolt is broken. Pool is empty. Room smells stale. Will never return to this place again. FALSE ADVERTISING! How expedia allowed this I have no idea!

I paid for a "triple room" which was advertised as a room with 3 double beds in it. What I got was a regular room with two beds, and they brought in a rolling twin cot and shoved it in the corner. All the other hotels on our trip were described similarly, but had dedicated beds like you would expect. The room was old and falling apart. It wasn't particularly clean. We got in late and left early, but the pool was dry and empty, (closed for the winter, maybe?) It was a crummy part of town, with just a walkup window made of bulletproof glass for the night shift. The bathroom was absolute garbage. The window lock was broken and a wedged in stick held it closed. It was cheaper than the competition, but the rating on this hotel is falsely high for what it is.

I booked a room online through Expedia with no problem and paid my money upfront thinking I would just get there and check in. The owner made up an excuse that he had no rooms available accusing me of coming there 15 minutes before I did and he supposively had already told me he had no vacancies. There was no way possible seeing how I just left the dentist. I did the right thing and booked all guest that we're staying in the room. He looked in the car and decided he didn't want us staying in his room for whatever reason. I've booked a room in the past with this same property and I remember how upset he got that I booked a room. It's a thing with these properties now and the locals booking rooms due to them not being able to over price us and put us in the most disgusting, unsafe, and dirty dirty rooms. We all should be treated fairly. It doesn't state that we can't book rooms due to us being locals. Only word I come up with is Discrimination..Treating people unfairly.

The motel attendant(owner) was friendly and responded promptly when our electronic key didn't work. Unfortunately our key didn't work most of the time. Our room was clean and serviceable enough as we were just passing through only needed a place to sleep one night. But the condition of the motel in general gave the impression that was closing down.

The owners are perverted. Make you uncomfortable.
They are as rude as hell. The management person opened my door without knocking. I asked him not to do this, but he did it again. I know full well when it is time to check out and he needs to knock on the door before just using his key to barge in like that. Did not matter he did it again at 11:10. I was furious.

Overall stay was pleasant. Ony issues were that some of the fixtures were broken and the room was not very clean. I had to clean and wipe down most of the surfaces in the room.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It smelled like an uncleaned portapotty on a hot day. The room was filthy, the tv remote did not work. I asked for assistance to repair and they never came. The A/C didn’t work. Service was the worst. I give it a -5 stars if I could.

Room isn't finished, motel is fine.
My family and I had been camping in the desert and decided to seek shelter from the extreme wind and cold which had descended. The place was reasonably priced and offered 3 twin beds which would have worked for the 5 of us. Upon check-in, the gentleman in the office informed me that there were actually 2 queen beds and a trundle bed, which was fine. When we got to the room, the trundle bed was not there so I had to go back down to the office (there was no phone in the room) to inform them of the problem. They said they would send a trundle bed to the room while I picked up food and supplies. When I got back to the room my family informed me that both the shower and tv weren't working. As I said earlier, we were seeking shelter in the room from the brutal winds, cold, and occasional rain which had been exhausting us so I was in no mood to go back down and inform them that they had a non-functioning room that they probably shouldn't have been renting out. With that said, the room was fine but had exposed cabling running across from a recent renovation project (the gentleman at the office had warned me of this), the heater worked fine and the blackout curtains helped us sleep in a little, the location is nothing to write home about between a car wash, a vacant lot overlooking railroad tracks, an abandoned restaurant, another motel, and a Denny's. It's a mixed bag but your options are limited in Barstow, if everything worked I would put this in the top echelon of Barstow motels.

Manager was rude disrespectful and i believe he was either racist or sexist my kids and i were traveling back to nevada and it was late at night so we decided to rent a room to rest the reservation was made thru hotels.com 1 to 2 in advance my card was charged for the rooms with no problems i pulled into the motel which clearly had a open sign on with all office signs i rang the bell and a man came to the window(looked as if he was just woken up and could barely open his eyes) i told him i would like to check in at first he stated for how many then i stated i already booked a hotel. Then he looked at my children and my self back and fourth about 3 times then stated were closed no bookings while there where clearly cars in the parking lot and people coming in and out of rooms. I was exhausted i didnot want to take the chance of continueing to drive so me and my children were sitting in our car in search of another room. I ended up getting charged for 2 rooms i have disputed this charge with hotels .com and was told my money would be refunded in 7-8 days today is day 4 and no refund AND IM BEING ASKED TO LEAVE A REVIEW FOR A HOTEL I NEVER STOOD AT. It clearly states on hotels.com before u make the booking non refundable if a I/customer cancels the booking but how is it ok for the hotel to cancel with no consiquence and how is it ok for hotels.com or whoever to take my money within seconds but it takes 7-8 days to refund something when they or there partners cancel?!

The owners and staff were nice. The Wifi was good and the fridge and microwave worked well. The shower pressure and temperature were good. But there were a few issues. The tap water sometimes didn't work, and there wasn't a filter (Barstow water is almost cloudy with chemicals). The bottom of the tub was gross looking. The sheets, furniture and floors had cigarette holes and stains. The room smelled like cigarettes despite it being Non-smoking. And the secondary lock on the door didn't work. There was trash left under the bed.

The recrption staff very rude and unhelpfull. Room smells. Fridge is rotten and smelly. Dirty towels. Door lock is doggy. Cold coming from outside, heating bearly works. What they called breakfast is coffe and donut. Hairs in the bathroom. STAY ELSEWHERE

False advertising. Had none of the amenities listed aside from WiFi, which was slow. Property is ancient and poorly maintained. Carpet had burns. Was not cleaned well. Shower curtain had mildew. TV is mostly static. Fridge door was bent. Heater/AC is wired up weird and won’t work unless you know the trick, which the staff doesn’t tell you unless you ask, and you’d never figure it out on your own, so I just about froze the first night. Staff was friendly, but that’s the only positive. Avoid, avoid, AVOID.

Bed bugs! But great water pressure... It is a cheap hotel, so I was expecting a bed, shower and not much else. The property was falling apart, which is not too serious as I have stayed in more questionable places. The one thing that was not expecting was bed bugs. We camped for the prior three nights so we are sure that we did not bring them with us. I will say this though: the shower had awesome water pressure.

Basic motel comfort
Clean and comfortable bed. Large TV. microwave and refrigerator. Good bathtub. But a lot of items showed significant wear and tear. Towel hanger near sink fell off. Soap but no shampoo. Phone in room had no connection. All appliances had to be plugged in and turned on before functioning. Basic cable TV. Then again it was cheap and clean so no big complaints.

Easy access to freeway, but room not in very good condition. Difficult to regulate temperature. Little in amenities. No breakfast as advertised, not even a breakfast buffet. Do not recommend.

pretty good!
I arrived quite late, but there was someone on desk for checkin, a Dennys just over the road offered food 24/7, though I did miss out not he breakfast at the location so can't review it. room had all I needed for the night, and I slept fine!

An old-school Route 66 motel. Staff was very friendly but the place itself was dirty, we didn’t have pillowcases on the pillows (they were put on when asked). Bed springs can be felt so sleep not great. Ok value for the money, but there are similar ones in town with value pricing we would consider next time.

Disgusting!!!
The only thing good about the place is that the clerk was nice! The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. It was freezing outside and we had to ask how to turn on the heat - we were told to disregard how it was marked. We would have froze if we didn’t ask. And once we figured it out the heater made a noise like a freight train. There was no remote for the tv. We went to pick up the room phone to let the clerk know and the only part of the phone left was the dial pad - which was filthy! The shower towels were not much bigger than hand towels but didn’t matter anyway because the water only got lukewarm. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. It was the worst motel I have ever stayed in!

Avoid it. Econo Lodge is better.
Booked for a King Bed room and got Double Bed. Bathroom door won’t fit so couldn’t shut the door so the room is perfect for you if you have pig play fetish as you will hear pleasant sound and full of smell in your room. Air con very noisy and near freight train track that runs 24/7 so prepare an ear plugs at night. Awful amenities (almost non exist) so bring your own. Thank God there was no breakfast - Denny’s open 24/7 in front of the motel.

The room was clean and in good repair. I liked the bathroom tile which looks like grey wooden planks. It is very windy in Barstow which blows the trash out of the trash cans. They need a lid on the can near room 104.

If it wasn't for online reservation I probably wouldn't have gotten a room since I am a local.since main St has a lot of thieves and homeless.they try not to deal with locals.

For this reason, most of our hotel rooms were inoperable due to noise and comfort concerns. Unfortunately, many of our guests were turned away for that reason.
