During this period, temperatures are generally pleasant, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Retezat Mountains and the surrounding areas. The trails are typically clear of snow, allowing for hiking, wildlife viewing, and enjoying the numerous lakes and waterfalls.

Families will find summer particularly appealing due to the longer daylight hours and the abundance of activities suitable for all ages, such as picnicking by Lake Bucura or visiting the Bison Reserve.
