Waking up with a fantastic view and only a short drive to the local shops and beach. What a hidden gem this is. Lovely cabins, free kayaks, 5mins from the beach, all located in a tranquil bush setting on the lake. Check in was via phone call from the office. We didn’t need to see a soul. And felt we were the only ones there. It was beautiful, tranquil and relaxing. On walks around the grounds we ran into kangaroos, saw and heard birds in the trees and watched swans on the lake. The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had a log fire in the evenings due to chilly nights. And had everything we needed. It’s wonderful for a hideaway but easy driving distance to local shops at Bawley Point or Ulladulla and a day out in Batemans Bay. Clean and most things available. Not sure about the composting toilet and limited drinking water only at specified taps which makes the daily tariff seem expensive for what you get. This Bush Retreat is far from services. Make sure you take in your provisions from the major centres as limited shops and no reception facilities. Large comfy bed and lots of extra provisions thoughtfully provided. A beautiful quiet spot very close to bush and beaches. Perfect in the winter. Thanks for a great two night stay.
