Stayed in F block. Beautiful view of the lake. Great to have microwave and plates outside. Breakfast was a bonus.

We absolutely loved our stay, it was a mix of modern and rustic our room was huge and the ability to sit on the decking looking over the lake was amazing. The animals out front made it feel like home and the goats were so friendly. Agree the floor in the restaurant needs sorting or a sign put out as did trip over some of the bumps but wouldnt put us off staying. We are already discussing a return trip :)

Do NOT be fooled by the photos of the accommodation. The towels had a black mark - looked like black mould - but not noticed until after use due to way folded The lid on the toilet was broken. There are 2 fish tanks that were only partially full, both were dirty and smelly - one of these was in the restaurant The best thing about the restaurant was the view and the door back out. The restaurant floor apparently had been damaged in a flood but “there hadn’t been time to lift the flooring” This was incredibly dangerous as the flooring moved upwards when you walked causing a major trip hazard When the wind blew there was a terrible draught in the room to the bed on the opposite side of the room due to ill fitting door. The front door to the room seemed to remain open partially when trying to close on leaving the room. This says it is lodges, but is more like a single storey construction. The neighbours can be heard through the walls when talking normally and plugging things in to power sockets. It was supposed to be a luxury lodge - there were no drawers on any units -other than in a coffee table - so no way to unpack. All the surfaces were sticky. On arrival I took off my shoes and stood on grit and crumbs This place seriously needs to up its game!!

After reading some of the reviews for this B&B I was slightly worried when arriving. However, I was blown away and how wrong some of the reviews were. The lodge was one the nicest weekends away me and my partner have had in a long time. Beautiful location, getting up in the to see the ducks whilst sitting in a hot tub was of the many highlights. Will be coming again. Thank you.

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Reception area was dirty and the restaurant wasn’t a place I would eat, it wasn’t clean and wasnt looked after.

Thank you for your review however, the reception does not just have guests checking into rooms it has deliveries being dropped off, dogs coming in and staff who work on the grounds coming in and out and therefore by the end of the day, reception may look dirty, it is cleaned again when staff arrive in the morning.the restaurant is looked after and is cleaned, we will however advise staff of your feedback, Thank you.

Great rooms, clearly a lot of time has gone into refurbishing them however no access to water for 2 days was a little disappointing…

Water was available over two days as it was only off sporadically, and staff constantly worked to put it right and ensure guests would be able to shower, etc.; we understand how inconvenient this was, but if a guest had not left early, not letting us know but had left the tap on in the bathroom which drained the tanks due to continuously running there would have been no problem with the water.

excellent, could be better to give a 5* experience
The room was very nice initially, lights were ALEXA controlled which was easy once I noticed in the book. Large screen TV with easy access to the HDMI socket for my firestick,. modern controls for very large shower, Evening food ( room service) was excellent, what let the place down was the poor finish in the bathroom, and cheap doors, the floor in the bathroom was also not finished properlly, the sealant around the shower was also very poorly finished, along with the ceiling paint. asking for poached eggs at breakfast, although done, was a begrudged process with the waitress pulling a face.

All rooms are currently being refreshed for the winter and will be done as soon as available when the room becomes free for more than 24 hours, I also believe the restaurant staff spoke to me about the breakfast issue. Nice place, a bit different and lovely that it faces a large pond. Room was modern in terms of the lighting and Alexa. There was a general unkept feel to the room and it was a little dirty. Ceiling was full of spiderwebs. Shower covered the bathroom floor with water- there was no avoiding it. And the bath panelling was rotting. Breakfast- really disappointing. The dining room was very dirty, including the self service coffee machine, sticky tables. Breakfast was distinctly microwaved.

Nice but a bit tired
Pretty location beside the canal, if you ignore the electric pylons. While the rooms are comfortable and they appear to have been fitted out relatively recently, it is all starting to look tired and grubby. There is a general lack of attention to detail. The creased signs in the corridor warn against late night parties suggesting that the hotel has hosted raucous hen/stag/wedding nights!

Also, the room you were in is actually one of the original rooms, so it is not recent and is due for refurbishment any time now. As for the sign in the corridor, we do not have any late-night parties and nor do we have hen and stag nights here. The sign is merely a deterrent. Thank you from all at the waterfront lodges.

Such a unique and charming property. There was a mix up with our room and we were upgraded to a lovely suite with hot tub. Slightly rustic around the edges but that is part of its charm. Lovely lakes and lots of amazing animals to pet. The evening food cooked to order and delivered to the lodge was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Pong Alison and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return

A charming property and it is the staff and "unique" environment that makes it worth a visit. The rooms are functional, if a little tired. A little attention to care in the room I stayed in would be most welcome, particularly in the bathroom. Lovely hot water and good pressure. I had a fabulous time feeding the huge fish and the ducks and playing with the other animals.

Wishing for a return visit!
Just a delightful stay. Sincerely hope I get to come again. Everyone was so kind, friendly and helpful - Angela even set up my room for me as she knew I'd had a long journey. The bed was really comfy and the room was amazingly high tech which I loved. I was rested and relaxed, the room had everything you needed. Great shower. Even better was the lake view and private deck to view the ducks from.
