Potters Warehouse

ABOUT POTTERS WAREHOUSE
Potters Warehouse is a large comfortable residence at the top of Bellingen town centre. It is very conveniently located to cafes, restaurants, shops and river parks. It has lovely north and south facing all weather verandahs with an outdoor dining table and couches. The generous 40 square metre open plan kitchen dining and lounge area provides a great space. There is a large family bathroom, two generous bedrooms, each with very comfortable king sized beds and one that also has a queen sized bed and king single, all with quality linen. Reverse cycle air-conditioning to all rooms for your comfort.
The front bedroom overlooks the town square and heritage buildings through its arched window whilst the second bedroom faces north across the tree pole verandah to the Dorrigo Mountain and Great Dividing Range.

The warehouse is fully equipped, very comfortable and convenient.

LOCATION.
The Potters Warehouse at 105 Hyde street is perched above of the Alternative Bookshop and my pottery studio and gallery.

Just step down the staircase and onto the main street where you will find cafes, restaurants and boutiques. A two minute walk will take you to Jaret River Park beside the beautiful Bellinger River where you can watch the sunset.

Potters Warehouse is a 20 minute drive to the Dorrigo World Heritage National Park Rainforest and a 15 minute drive will get you to the spectacular Never Never River in the Promised Land. A 15 minute drive takes you to the beautiful, quiet beaches and boardwalk at Urunga were the Bellinger and Kalang rivers join .

Bellingen is a unique little town located just 30 minute drive from Coffs Harbour airport, and about 10 minute drive from Pacific Highway along Waterfall Way.

ABOUT HOSTS
I am an artist/painter, clay sculptor and have a delightful 9 year old daughter call Minh-Chau.

We live across the road so please give us a bell if you need anything or would like any assistance or recommendations. Pottery lessons available upon request.

It would be hard to categorise this property. Quirky is a good description. The two bedrooms are absolutely grand, with the most wonderful windows. The main bedroom had a queen and a king bed, as well as a single bed. The second bedroom had a queen bed. If you are looking for 'cookie cutter' modern, this is not it. We absolutely loved the place, and would love to stay there again. There was heaps of room inside, with two very large decks - front and back.The property is within close walking distance of cafe's and shops in the town.We were a group of three adults visiting Bellingen for a 90th birthday celebration. This property is very much in keeping with the architecture and vibe of the town.

So handy to the delightful Bellingen village.The Potters Warehouse is a comfortable, spacious stay. There are good kitchen facilities. Great air conditioning and comfortable beds. Just be aware of the 12 steps required to enter the property. Multiple lounging areas. A little bit quirky, in keeping with its artistic theme.

Bellingen in June

A lovely building right on the street but very solid so didn’t notice any noise. Lovely light comes through at sunrise and John is an absolute treasure. High ceilings, full of character. Verandah is a great space, beautiful views and kitchen with the big table is an easy space to be in.

Some Pros and Cons

Pros: The accommodation was charming, clean and well appointed and convenient to Bellingen village.. The rear verandah is a lovely warm spot in the morning sun. The beds were comfy with fresh linen and air conditioned. Cons: The steep slightly rickety stairs to enter could be difficult for some, and the number of irregular stairs inside the house saw me trip and fall (no injury fortunately) with slippery mats on the polished floor, some milk for tea and coffee would have been good. I slightly overpaid on the original booking and trying to get a small refund has been unpleasant.

Perfect Bellingen stay

We had a wonderful albeit a short stay at John’s apartment in the beautiful centre of Bellingen. What a wonderful space, with high ceilings and extra comfortable beds, John was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. We will be back!!

Girls weekend away

We had a Long weekend stay with girlfriends for the Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival and the Potters Warehouse was the perfect accommodation for us. Eclectic and character filled, with warm comfy beds and 2 balconies to choose from to relax in the sun. So close to everything in town, that we didn't have to use our car all weekend. Surprisingly quiet being in the Main Street. The onsite parking is safe and convenient. John was the prefect host, warm, friendly, helpful and available...we would definitely come back and stay, next time we come to Bellingen!
