"We had a very comfortable stay at this property. Water was too low for kayaking but the house was very roomy and comfortable. It is as the pictures depicted and the area is extremely quiet. Even though it ended up being only 3 of us staying the house could easily sleep10 as advertised - we stayed there because of a family reunion at my sisters in Blacksburg which took about 40 minutes to get to her house. Would recommend this property to a big group as it can handle it.Thanks for the comfortable...

"We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a quiet getaway and this little space was great for the two of us. It was awesome to have the use of the kayaks. The only reason for the 4 stars was the issue of pet hair that we noticed on the floors. "

"This is the second year at the Lazy Bass. We had such a wonderful time. The house is in such a great location and all the local neighbors are so friendly. The only issue we had was the gas grill did not work. Lindsey with Blue Ridge Escapes was wonderful and said she would alert the owners. Can’t wait for next year. "

"Over all, it was a good experience. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the property overall. My biggest disappointment was the grill. We were hoping for a night with friends grilling out and just catching up and the grill had not gas. The advertisement said this was not going to be a problem. I guess we should have checked day one so we could have called, but it was too late by the time we were ready for the cookout. "I visited in the fall with some college friends for a game weekend, and had an incredible stay! The house is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to campus and downtown. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Blacksburg for a weekend!"

"We had a nice time. The home was clean. The water access was nice. The bedroom with the bunk bed did not have lightbulbs in the ceiling fixture and there were not extra bulbs in the utility closet, so we sent our youngest daughter to bed with a cell phone. Additionally, the door in the bedroom stuck since it was hot outside, so we learned quickly not to let her close the door. Overall, the place was lovely. We had a nice time."

"Perfect place for the Labor Day end of Summer weekend! We brought rafts and floated the River a couple of times. Kyakers went fishing and paddling up and down the river. We sang, laughed, watched the Virginia Tech game, and had a great time! Location was pretty much in the center of all our houses! The house had everything we needed. Great pontoon-dock and ease of access to the water."

"Our host was spectacular. We had everything we needed. Fun game room with movies and video games for the kids. We all took our turn at pool, table tennis and air hockey as well. Great nature views of the mountains. We enjoyed seeing deer every morning and an occasional wild turkey or two. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. "

You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."
