Fabulous Retreat with close Ski Access, Home Theater and Hot Tub

With expansive decks, and views to match, Moondance Lodge is surrounded by the natural beauty of Big Sky. In winter, this property is ski accessible to the White Otter/Cascade lifts. Moondance Lodge is equipped with a two car garage, a laundry room, and a boot warmer in the mud room.

Upstairs, you'll find a bedroom containing a king sized bed and a flat screen television, as well as access to a private deck and a spacious private bathroom. There are three bedrooms downstairs, two of which feature a queen bed. The first queen bedroom has a private bath, while the second queen bedroom has a shared bath with the third downstairs bedroom. The third downstairs bedroom contains a Captain's bunk bed set, great for kids or adults. Above the garage is the home's fifth bedroom which has four twin beds and a private bathroom.

Downstairs is a family-friendly game room with a wet bar, a pool table, and a home theater. The home also offers a hot tub and gas grill on the private deck.

*Please be advised that this home does not have air conditioning.

For ski-in/ski-out access, cross Beehive Basin Road to the groomed run on the right and follow it down to White Otter Lift. From the top of White Otter, ski to the Mountain Village base area. To get home via Lower Morningstar, take the White Otter Access Trail to the base of Cascade Lift. Take this groomed run to the left until reaching the intersection of Middle Rider Road and Black Moon Road. Then, at the corner of Black Moon Road, Moondance Lodge is on the right!

*Early season and late season ski access is condition-dependent and dictated by Big Sky Resort operations.

Moondance in BIG SKY is the best place for large families or multiple families staying near Big Sky. The home is approximately 10 minutes from the ski resort and offers a wealth of amenities from kitchen appliances, to nice soaps and dishwasher tablets provided by the rental company. The local grocery store (Roxy's Market) is about 15 minute drive into town (plus - check out other cute shops while you're there). We were about 1.5 from the West Entrance of Yellowstone and 2.5 hours from the North Entrance. Bears will often come near the back porch so please beware when outside. The house also backs up to the Beehive Basin Hike which is lovely. Neighbors are very quiet. You have a perfect view of Lone Peak Mountain and the resort. This is not a ski-in/ ski-out location however so please note! Overall, a lovely, well-stocked, convenient home.

Big Sky Family Reunion
I could not say enough about this property. We rented it for two weeks this Summer and had my family up the first week, and my wife's the second. Bedrooms were great but the open space and loft- not to mention the wrap around deck- gave everyone a place to hang out and re-connect. Cousins playing, in-laws playing cards, and everyone cooking together was amazing. Probably the best investment I have made in a family vacation.

Big Sky President's Week
This property was spacious with breathtaking views of the mountains. It was very easy to get to Madison Base as well as Mountain Village although we did not try the ski in / ski out option (it looked like a lot of poling from the maps). The house came equipped with cooking essentials as well as cleaning which meant less groceries to buy. The mud room also made it easy to drop off ski gear each day and not track snow all through the house. The kids loved going outside to play in the snow, whether in the yard, driveway or multiple decks - no shortage of options for them.

Amazing place but unprofessional and not informed management.
The location, place and overall experience was good. Place itself is just amazing ! Don’t take me wrong, but the management was specifically contacted 2 months in advance to let me know if the couch which you can see on the pictures from the office room is a couch or a loveseat. (From the pictures you can’t simply see if it is a full couch or smt else). The management was not sure and later told me that it was a loveseat. I cut one person off the trip cuz he simple did not want to sleep on the floor with his girl, and other rooms were taken by married couples. When we arrived to the house we figured out that the office room had a pull out couch, and not a love seat. Just upset with uninformed management. And sad for a friend who did not make it to the winter trip which we planned so much time ahead. Gas was not filled up in the grille either, so we had to make all the bbq in our own way.

Awesome property with short access to the mountain
Great house, everything was great with the house, nothing unexpected and would definitely stay again/recommend it! Can comfortably support the 10 or so adults we were with, room for more I'd say too! Even with the snow everywhere we could get in and out no problems, would def. advise 4wd if visiting in winter...all in all, awesome place to stay!

We truly enjoyed our vacation!
The house was represented well by the pictures! It was very beautiful and the views were stunning. The only complaint was the check in was not until 4:00 and check out was early at 10:00 and the cleaning crew came at 9:30 which felt like rushing us a little. Otherwise, I would recommend this house to anyone!

Beautiful house and views of lone peak, well equipped
Stayed for 7 days 6/24-7/1 with 3 teens and 6 adults from 3 different states to celebrate my in-laws 50th Anniversary. Beautiful views from porch of Lone Mountain peak. Lots of room to spread out. Beautiful, well furnished house with lots of extras. Kitchen well stocked w everything needed including seasonings, plastic wrap, crockpots, blennder, grill outside, etc. (Left some replacements for the staples we used) Plenty of games, cards and a puzzle the whole family worked on for several days to complete with no picture to work from...we prevailed, then printed out completed picture for next family :) pool table and xbox downstairs were appreciated by teens. Hot tub was nice. Unfortunately couldn't use outdoor fireplace which was the only bummer, but according to concierge is par for the course in the area due to forest fire risk. The 2 teen boys enjoyed their separate room over the garage. 3 days of rain but we were just there to relax and enjoy family. We stopped on the way from airport in Bozeman at Costco and Wal-Mart for groceries for the week and highly recommend that. We just grabbed some insulated bags to keep food cold on 1 hour drive to house. Ate at Ousel and Spur Pizza and Blue Moon bakery which were both good, normal resort area price to be expected. Drove to West Yellowstone for zipline and ropes course 1 day which was vey fairly priced and the highlight of the week for the teens and dad's. They spent 4 good hours there having lots of fun. I would recommend that over the Gallatin zip line if you have the time to drive the 1 hour just because the ropes course seemed alot better, but we didn't go to the other, just observed from driving by and reviews. Went to Big Sky movie theater one rainy evening which was nice. We're looking forward to outdoor concert and farmers market but it was too rainy unfortnately. Because of weather and schedule didn't really do any hiking but would have liked to have gone on Ousel falls trail at least. Part of family spent a day touring yellowstone independently. Cue ball for pool table was cracked when we got there and broke but the Natural Retreats concierge quickly replaced the next day. Great communication and easy process all the way through! Would love to return in winter to ski :) this area seems to have alot of new development with more to come.

Beautiful house and outstanding location
This was our first time in Big Sky and we could not have picked a prettier location or nicer accommodations. The reviews are spot on with a giant great room and open kitchen where we spent most of our time. Even though the entrance to upper Bee Hive Basin is nearby, I would suggest driving as the road is quite steep and the climb in and out took us three hours. I left behind bear spray for the next guest if you decide to go hiking.
