Staff at front desk was rude and too busy looking at his phone to help. I checked in at 3:30pm asked for a room away from elevator and he said ok and put me right across from elevator? Paint peeling on shower ceiling. Very outdated and old room. Very small room, more like an old college dorm. Breakfast was the worst I ever saw at a hotel. Very thin walls could hear people’s conversations, walking and coughing.

The rooms and staff were great. The rooms clean and up to date. No funky smell like other rooms I have visited. Didn’t make the breakfast but there was some available.

The Microtel had a very heavy odor of mothballs- from the elevator to our hallway and in our room. The room was absolutely not as clean for a $229 per night room. It was what you would expect for a $100 night room. Breakfast was a couple waffles plus condiments. If I knew it was this below standard I would have paid the extra $70 for the Hyatt down the road.

This hotel is not as advertised. The only thing I can say positive was that it seemed to be clean. It is very run down. The bed was like a hideaway bed with the hardest matress I’ve ever felt. I may have well just slept on the fake wood floor. It was terrible. Glad it was for just one night. Also it was $260 for this wonderful stay. Do not recommend!
