4.5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, 2 Kitchens, 180 degree views and a 'Man Cave'

This is a "Family Friendly" House. Great for socializing. There have been far too many 'multi-generational' parties and celebrations here to count.

The HOUSE features:

- UPPER (Main) Floor has Three Bedrooms, Two Baths and a bonus Sun Room we call the 'lady cave' that has a reading chair and futon couch.
- LOWER (Ground) Floor is a separate Studio apartment with its own private entrance and is complete with full kitchen and full bath. We have it set up 'man cave' style with two TV's, a pool table and hide-a-bed.
- Panoramic, almost 180 degree views from the main level. You can see from Point Reyes in the South all the way through Bodega Bay, Doran Beach and Bodega Harbor to the North.
- Easy five (5) minute stroll to Doran Beach. You arrive at Doran Beach on the South end where to the left are the rocks and tide pools (at low tide) and to the right the full two miles of the beach.
- Full Southern exposure in the living room, dining area, kitchen, and Master bedroom.
- Large rear deck with seven (7) person hot tub, patio table and gas bar-b-que.
- Private rear yard behind the deck - we believe that is one of only two in the entire subdivision. Great for a little quiet time or for those of you traveling with dogs.


Our GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION neighborhood features:

- Public golf course. Bring your clubs and play the course known lovingly as 'The poor man's Pebble Beach.' But call ahead and try to get a morning tee time so you don't get caught trying to play in the afternoon winds.
- Public restaurant and bar called the 'Bluewater Bistro.' Just a short walk withing the subdivision from our place. The views are great, especially from the bar.
- Public playground for the little ones. Next door to the bar and restaurant.
- Easy walk from our house to the beach. About 5 minutes.

The house was built in the early 1970's and we love that vibe as well as the family friendly vibe mentioned above. Some of the recent upgrades we have done:

1. Arcade Table - Spring 2019. Our previous one served us and the renters for seven years, but we felt it was time to get a new one.
2. Kenmore Elite Refrigerator for Main Kitchen - Spring 2019.
3. All new flooring through out the main house - Fall 2018.
4. Main living room entertainment system . Upgraded the DISH system to voice-activated and added an external drive for recorded movies and shows. - Spring 2018.
5. Club Chairs for the Arcade Table - Fall 2018.
6. Lady Cave Futon - Fall 2018.
7. Man Cave Hide-a-bed - Fall 2018.
8. Bar-b-Que - Fall 2023.
9. Entryway lighting - Fall 2018.
10. High Speed USB Charger / Outlets. One each in main living room, master bedroom, and man cave kitchen - Spring 2019.
11. Four other USB chargers - two in entryway and two at the entertainment cabinet - Fall 2018.

Perfect place for three senior adults (75+) and three young adults (18-27). Places for gathering together, and spaces for individual activities. The only downside was the challenging access to get into the house itself… once inside, everything was basically one level. The views of the Bay were truly awesome.

When contacted Jonathan was able to get BBQ grill replaced within 2 days. House was spacious with unbelievable views. Wish man cave was connected to inside of house. If you have a dog verify that the dog run fence has been replaced. Dated house but it was in our price range

Annual Family Vacation
House is located in a beautiful neighborhood with a view of the ocean and golf course. Convient little store/coffee at the golf course. The house is nice size with 3 bdrms upstairs and a sunroom with a futon that we utilize as a room for sleeping. There are 2 nice size bathrooms upstairs. Kitchen is fully stocked so there was plenty to use for cooking. There is a propane bbq on the deck but we decided not to use it was not burning evenly. The Man Cave downstairs was utilized for sleeping. It has a kitchen with mini fridge, stove and closet with lots of linens for the couch which pulled out to a bed. There were not much cookware downstairs but I assumed maybe it was all upstairs. We never cook downstairs. Overall it was big, roomy, and worked for us.

Beautiful location
We had a beautiful stay in Bodega. Location was great and size of home was awesome. Plus, we could have our dog. Plenty of sleeping places, lots to do. Arcade game, pool table, views, walks, hot tub… the hot tub did not look clean. I did not even get in. I was really looking forward to it. I’m not sure the bedding was clean. The blankets and pillows were so old, the bedding was very uncomfortable. Some of the teens pulled out closet bedding to make up the futons. 2 of them heeded my advice and washed everything first. 2 of them didn’t, and 2 weeks home from vacay are still tending to rashes from an unknown breakout. We guess both girls reacted to dirty closet bedding. The floors in corners were dusty, and the home smelled of mold. As most coast homes do, but this is extra. I was not going to review the home, but the email invite prompted me too. My hubby made a good point about re booking. As least we know what to expect… we most likely won’t return.
