If you're visiting Sugar Mountain for a ski trip, look no further. You can ski right out this home's back door to the slopes. After a day of shredding fresh powder, you can snuggle up by the fireplace to thaw yourself out.

Thoughtfully renovated in June of 2022, the interior features a full kitchen with everything you need to cook a feast after a day of adventures. The surrounding area is stunning in the fall when the leaves change, and the wraparound deck gives you the perfect vantage point to view all that the mountains have to offer.

WHAT’S NEARBY
The ski slopes are right out the back door. You can ski down to the chair lift and ride it to the top. The resort is just up the street to rent from the ski lodge, enjoy the skating rink, or even golf in the summer months. To catch breathtaking views of mountains, you can try zip lining at Hawksnest Snow & Ziplining or walk across the Mile High Swinging Bridge. If you're feeling courageous, you can challenge the rapids via High Mountain Expeditions

Don’t book
This place is horrible. I don’t know where to start. Very dirty, dust and dirt everywhere. Under the beds looked as if they had never been clean. Moldy smell for sure. Also door to above condo was broken and could not be locked. Thought everything was fine until couple came in at 2am and walking around sounding like a freight train through the floors. Had no way of securing door to prevent us or them from coming into each other condo. We left after 1 night and had rented for 3, and have been trying to get my money back since. Can’t get a response from anyone. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Not at ALL what the pictures portray!!
Okay First let me say the location is amazing... That being said the problems started the second we walked in. The mold smell hits you as you walk in. Listing states UPDATED!! We build new homes and remodel... this is a paint job, bad one at that. I could go one and on, but long story. Floors were discussing (i had to sweep several times and mop, still not great) Cobwebs from the ceiling, dust everywhere. The beds had to be 20 years old and hard as a rock. Master bed springs must be broken (so noisy, couldn't sleep) second bedroom has nails coming through the ceiling with all the moisture from snow above.. ummm mold S*** show. My toddler had to use the restroom and there was large pubic hairs on the toilet. Oh wait there is more.... heat dosen't work, fireplace stopped working, and Washer and dryer didnt work. It was a horrible experience we left early ruining our mini getaway.

The description is misleading
When we rented it said there was a hot tub. It said we had the whole house we didn't. There's no View at all. And because I'm 64 I couldn't carry my things up and down that gravel what you call a driveway so I couldn't stay. I'm at the top of the hill where we parked under the leaves was a tripwire that I tripped over on the asphalt under the leaves and I couldn't see it

Rented this property for one night on a quick trip to visit family. Property has been upgraded and looks nice inside. Furniture is new. Showers clean but were small, shower heads were brand new and water was hot. Mattresses were bouncy, not a plus. lol Housekeeping was late and we weren’t able to check in until 5:30pm - which was unfortunate- especially considering the $$$ of “cleaning fees” for one night’s stay. Of note — this is the lower part of a duplex. The stairs seen in the living room pictures goes to a locked door. There is a rental property above this one. Definitely can hear the people walking above you. I wish I would’ve known this beforehand. I even reached out and sent a msg to Vacasa and they assured me no one would be staying above us, which was blatantly untrue.

Location is great for ski in and out. Enough room for family of 4. Furniture needs updating. Clean but needs high dusting. The fire place did not work and the TV remote needed batteries. It rained a lot and the rain was leaking in through fireplace. No response back for 2 days from management.

Access to the slope (ski in/ski out) was excellent. The condition of the property probably wouldn’t pass a county inspection. 1) The front door threshold has completely rotted away. Every time you open the front door you have to kick everything back in place. 2) Front door lock could easily be opened without a key. 3) The rental as we found it was VERY dirty. 4) The wiring for the gas fireplace is completely exposed. A disaster waiting to happen. 5) The fireplace quit working halfway through our stay. I called the help line and they dispatched a guy to look at it right away. That was really good. The guy they sent was great too. He let us know that we had run out of propane, gas. Whatever. So, apparently we didn’t warrant the tank having enough gas. I was really surprised and disappointed in the place we stayed but we were there to ski so it didn’t ruin the weekend.
