We had a balcony room with a nice view of the harbor. The bed was decent. The rooms were dated but decently clean. Some things didn’t work like the electrical outlet and the floor lamp. The thermostat took awhile to work and it got really hot in the middle of the night. For a two night stay it was acceptable and we would stay there again for its proximity to the harbor and eateries.

We asked to have our room made up after the 1st day. The lady came, propped our door open and said we would be next. She was at the room next door, so we left. We were gone 2 hours, the room was not done but the door was still propped open. She was no where around. Luckily nothing was taken.

The only reason I gave cleanliness a 3 is because house keeping doesn’t clean the room during your stay. I prefer places that offer daily housekeeping service. The front office staff was very friendly and even offered a few dining recommendations during our stay with them. The mattresses in our room could use some updating due to a bit of sagging in the middle of the bed as I’m sure they have a busy location. Other than that the stay was pleasant

Located on the remote Northern California Coast at Point Arena, is the B. Bryan Preserve. They breed and present critically endangered African hoofed animals to maintain the species population. They are not a zoo and only give pre-reserved small tours with up close views of the animals. Lynn and I toured while we were in the area.
