The hotel and staff wee very good. The main reason I’ve marked them down is the fact that you cannot co tact the hotel directly by phone. I tried at least four times and spent about an hour listening to pretty awful piped music holding the line open.
The parking was a problem in as much that you have to pre-book. This isn’t mentioned during the booking process but only after you’ve booked in an email from the hotel.
As ours was a flying visit to visit a poorly relative urgently I couldn’t book a fortnight before as the receptionist seemed to expect guests to do.
I am also unhappy with Expedia inasmuch that when I searched for an hotel with a car park, I didn’t expect it to be limited parking.
Fortunately, there is offsite parking about a five minute walk away from the hotel but, of course, security is a bit of an issue.
