“#1: Google Maps failed to get us to the property every time. This is not the fault of the owners, but it is something every visitor should know. #2: check-in time is 5:00. We arrived way too early, but we were lucky that our room was already clean and ready. Our host was very nice and accommodating. J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.”

“Een prima hotel. We bleven hier twee nachten en in combinatie met het restaurant Le Local een perfect verblijf (gezellig en lekker). De receptie is maar beperkt bezet en daar buiten kun je wel binnen komen met code via SMS, maar die kwam bij ons niet binnen. Dat vroeg om even wat communicatie via een intercom. De kamer was ruim, schoon en volledig (zelfs koelkast). Prima bedden. Ook een prima uitgebreid ontbijt. Pieux is een kleine plaat, maar mooi centraal gelegen. Vlak aast het hotel een……

“A lovely place to stay after a days cycling. We were greeted warmly and shown to the room. We were able to secure our bikes in the garage. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was fine with lots of choice. All in all, a very good nights stay.”
