You won't be disappointed.
From the moment that we booked, Celeste was incredibly communicative and helpful. The property is just as described - beatiful, inviting and comfortable. Our kids loved swimming the pool and everyone enjoyed gathering in the outside seating area for conversation, cocktails and delicious dinners prepared by Chef Arsenio. The beach is perfect for walks (rough for swimming, but our group never wanted to leave the pool anyway). The neighborhoood bar and restaurant was a short, 5-minute walk from the property and had wonderful food - we enjoyed eating multiple meals there. And don't miss the surfer community just beyond - the cutest little shacks serving coffee, smoothies and yummy bites. The whole experience felt authentic and comfortable. Celeste is amazing and has a staff to match. This place is not to be missed. We will be back!

Incredible Stay and Experience !!
Where do I start. We were a group of two families, 4 adults and 4 children(ages 6+9). To say our vacation was wonderful would be a severe under statement. We had such an incredible stay and experience. The House is Beautiful and has everything you could possibly need and more. The property is in a very private gated community in hideaway beach with Full security who were all so very friendly. Celeste was Amazing and quick to respond to any questions and had lots of suggestions on where to go and what to do. The girls/staff we Loved So Much…they cooked our breakfast and lunches as well as cleaned and did laundry daily. We hired the private Chef, Arsenio, who also did our arrival shopping for us, highly recommend. He made us the most Amazing meals and helped make my Husbands Birthday Extra Special! We also enjoyed takeout and dining out at Coconuts just a few doors down within the property right on the beach. Celeste helped us coordinate horseback riding who met us with the horses right in front of the property on the beach. And Encuentro Beach is a short walk down the beach with surf lessons and breakfast/lunch shacks that make delicious meals. I could go on forever. Waking up to the beach every day and having all this house has to offer and more made this A perfect Vacation! 10/10! We can’t wait to come back!!!

Spectacular home, spectacular host
For starters, Celeste is not your typical VRBO host. Celeste was always available to answer any questions, arrange transportation, gave restaurant suggestions, etc. It was so awesome to have her available as first time visitors to the area. We unexpectedly had to extend our stay and she was so accommodating and helpful! Our family will never forget you Celeste. As for the house....It rocks. Located in a gated community, directly on a beautiful beach and staffed with wonderful people. The house staff were so lovely and helpful-you will be spoiled. Daily prepared breakfasts and lunches, cleaning and laundry-we were very spoiled! Security was always around-always felt safe and they were so friendly. House built for large groups with awesome pool and outdoor space with amazing beach views. Take a short walk down the beach to Coconuts for a drink and dinner! The interior of the home has 5 ensuite bedrooms, great kitchen, multiple living spaces and decorated with lovely artwork. We loved our stay at Villa Celeste! Now go spoil yourself!

Celeste, the owner, was very accomodating. The house was much nicer than all the pictures, cleanliness, bug sprays in the yard, hot tub, maid and chef service...all were excellent. The resort needs much needed spruce ups. The landscaping of the resort and road to the home were below par. Would definitely come back again..

Great stay with family
My family loved our stay at Celeste’s house. The cleaning staff were great, and when we brought groceries, they cooked delicious breakfast and lunches. We definitely recommend taking advantage of having them pre-shop for groceries before you get there to help the first day of settling in. Celeste was responsive to our questions as we settled in and got our bearings. Drivers were available and very friendly. Beach was beautiful. It was clearly a bit dangerous in terms of potential Riptides/undertoe , but we(kids) played in the shallower areas a touch away from the flat water just in front of the house, and also took the short 10-15 drive to nearby beaches that were a bit calmer. Pretty cool expat style surfing schools nearby, too. Loved our time at this house!

Wonderful Vacation
I want to start by saying this vacation was a once in a lifetime. My experience was beyond 5 stars. As you have read in the other reviews Celeste was a remarkable VRBO host. She was responsive from the time we booked the house up until we where home from vacation. Her and her staff are top notch. Franklyn is a prize. We all fell in love with him. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and kept our safety in mind. Dorka and her co-worker were amazing. They cooked us breakfast daily and lunch a couple days. Yummy food! They also cleaned daily and kept the house spotless. We had Celeste pre-order food which was very nice. We also chose to have Celeste's chef come and make dinner 1 night. Boy this was special. The food was amazing....really unbelievable. And we had enough for a second nights meal as well. As for Villa Celeste, this was an amazing house. The grounds, pool, hot tub and patios were perfect. The only negative I would say about the whole experience was the sleeping arrangement. Which we could of probably changed ourselves. The 3 rooms open to the front of the house as well as patio doors to the back yard. It was stressful to have all of our kids in those rooms. We worried about their safety at night. HOWEVER....there was security around the clock on the property and she has cameras on the outside of the house. We had 2 families, 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 kids. It was a perfect house for all of us! HIGHLY recommend!

Family friendly relaxation spot.
Everything exceeded expectations, the location, house, amenities, and most of all the staff. They were friendly and made all my family feel at home, sleeping with the ocean which seemed to be at the foot of our beds was fantastic. Looking forward to another visit.

Gorgeous property and location!
This home was fabulous and perfect for our group of 10! We enjoyed it so much we rarely left the property. IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN YOUR GROUP, be advised that 3 of the 5 rooms have separate entrances from the house. Since our kids are adults this worked perfectly, but would have been an issue if they were under 18, in my opinion. Celeste was more than helpful with any questions we had and the staff was also WONDERFUL!

Best Vacation Ever!
Our stay at Villa Celeste was amazing! It exceeded every expectation. The house and the grounds are gorgeous and the location is perfect. Celeste is a wonderful hostess and went above and beyond to answer questions and make our stay as perfect as possible. We had a group of 9 adults and celebrated my 50th birthday in such a memorable way. I could not have asked for more. The staff are friendly, thorough, and prepared wonderful meals. We enjoyed 2 meals at home with Chef Arsenio and loved everything he prepared, as well as his friendly demeanor. Franklin was always available to help and quickly became one of our favorite people! He knows everyone and is one of the most likeable people I have met. In addition to the yummy meals we had a Villa Celeste, we loved walking over to Coconuts restaurant (about 6 doors down) for meals. Beautiful views and great menu selection. A day trip to Playa Caleton was fabulous as well. We all plan to come back to Villa Celeste and have already recommended it to many of our friends. Stay at this Villa, you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Experience
The owner of this property (Celeste) went above and beyond to provide my wife and I and our guests the most amazing experience we could have asked for. We communicated frequently before the trip, she was 100% cooperative when we needed to make changes to the schedule. She had the house stocked as we requested and had a incredible chef come and prepare and serve dinners. The home was perfect for our guest , great common areas and plenty of privacy in the rooms. Overall one of the best VRBO experience's we've had.

Perfect Getaway in a beautiful spot
The house is better than advertised. It is comfortable, well stocked and perfectly located on a beautiful part of the beach. There is full time security in the community, they were very friendly and helpful, and the housekeepers lunches were fantastic. They really are excellent cooks if you want real meals. Celeste the owner is a pleasure to work with and is always available and very helpful with advice. If you want a family get away, this is the place.

Outstanding Family Vacation
Our family included 7 adults and two 6 year old boys. Perfect number of bedrooms and baths. The pool was a big hit with the boys and the adults. It was clean and the housekeepers kept us well stocked with dry pool towels. Celeste is a perfect host and helped answer a lot of questions before we arrived. We only asked Franklin to meet us at the airport upon arrival and allow us to follow him in our rented van to the house. Thereafter, we didn't call upon him to drive us because we had a large van and drove ourselves. We had all breakfasts and lunches in the house with dinners at a few recommended restaurants. We highly recommend Bliss and Chef Alfanzo (Anne will stock the kitchen for a small fee). Cieba is good for both pizza (they deliver) and pasta at the restaurant which is fairly close. We like grocery shopping, so we asked Anne to buy a few items for our first night and next day breakfast. Shopp at the grocery in Sosua not at Janets. Be aware, their ATM machines at the grocery and at the banks will only dispense 10,000 pesos (about $180) at a time. Alfanzo and many other restaurants do not accept credit cards. Many of the restaurant bills were presented in both pesos and US$, so you can bring US$. The towns are typical Island towns with bad sidewalks and lots of restaurants. If you drive, note that many cars ignore the stop lights. In summary, we will be back and maybe next year we will actually leave the house.

Amazing property with breathtaking views!!
The property is simply marvelous!! The views of the ocean, the location, the pool, makes this villa a must visit if you’re looking for a property that has all these amenities in the Cabarate area. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary there for 25 guests and everyone couldn’t stop raving about the property. The staff was very good, very good cooks, could be a little bit more friendly but other than that they were very good. Worth it!

Worth every penny!
Absolutely fantastic place to stay! From the moment Franklin picked us up from the airport - we fell in love with the Dominican! The house is gorgeous. Perfect for two families - (we could have invited another family!) The pool was clean and beautiful. Even better than the photos show it. We couldn't believe that we had essentially our own private beach, hardly any people. Perfect for the kids to play in the sand and jump the waves. Too rough for swimming, but perfect to wade. Dorka is a great cook! The food was so good. Make sure you have her prepare the Chicken/rice/beans Dominican lunch. So good! Can't say enough good things about this place! Thank you Villa Celeste for being a wonderful place to stay! One word of advice- fly into Puerto Plata. We flew into Santiago - 1.5hr drive :)

Great escape
Perfect property for 3 families celebrating a birthday. The staff and accommodations were wonderful. The food prepared by the housekeepers was better than any restaurant and everyone was extremely helpful. Franklin and Mariano took our lake party everywhere we wanted to go and ensured our safety. We truly relaxed for the week. Only note of caution is that you really can not swim in the ocean at this location. It is beautiful and the pool was more than enough but plan to go to nearby kite beach in Cabarette if you need to get in the ocean. The surf at the house is deadly. They would be wise to put a flotation device with a very long rope attached to the stairs leading to the beach. But it did not take away from our stay in any way.

One of a kind location with gracious and responsive hostess
Villa Celeste is a tuly lovely place to spend vacation. The photos really don’t do it justice. The house is beautifully designed and furnished and it’s immaculately clean due to the diligent maintenance of the staff. It slept our large, 8 adult, 4 child, party very comfortably. And with the pool and beach steps away, we were never at a loss for things to do. Celeste herself is a pleasure to work with and responds to all calls or emails immediately. I can’t imagine a better place to spend a hard-earned vacation. Book this house and enjoy! Thank you Celeste!

If you are planning a trip to the DR this is the place..... Everything was perfect!
Booking was totally effortless. The constant communication made every transaction easy and well understood. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you don't lift a finger. FRANKLIN IS THE MAN!! He knows something about everything and took the time to ensure we treated fairly. I felt like I was at home. Also the pictures online don't do this place justice. It was literally the best villa on the property and well positioned for access to anything within minutes. The owner explains every detail and helped me anytime day or night. I would recommend this to anyone.

Villa Celeste is AMAZING! Dorka and the other young lady were spectacular as well as the security. I stayed at villa Celeste with my wedding party from 10/5-10/9. On Thursday, most of my wedding party flew in and were picked up by Franklin or his partner. I had a lot of people flying in beginning Wednesday through Friday and Franklin did an awesome job coordinating pick ups and departures. I hired a hair and makeup stylists here and he was even available to pick her up, bring her to the villa and take her back to the salon on the day of my wedding. Now I want to talk about the ladies: my girlfriend flew in from Athens, Greece and arrived at POP on Thursday, October 5th. Unfortunately, her luggage did not arrive with her. I had some extra sandals and dresses for her to wear and went out and got her some toiletries. The ladies were so understanding and washed the clothes my girlfriend had on so that She could wear it the next day. She was totally appreciative of that. Luckily her luggage arrived the next day. The ladies were very discreet and maintained the household clean. Oh and I must say that they are great cooks! I was unfamiliar with what they needed to cook meals, so they were kind enough to come with me to the supermarket to pick out all that they needed to make their delicious lunch. The villa: Beautiful! Every room, the pool, the garden just as shown on the photos. The view from the rooms and pools were spectacular. I had my dream wedding ceremony on the beach there and all of my photos were amazing. I had lots of guests whom had never been to the Dominican Republic and they all loved it and are planning to return for a vacation. Chez Arsenio Restaurant: the food is delicious and reasonable. Security: Mr. Familia who is the head of the security was fantastic and attentive. The security guards were great and visible at all times. Iike I said I had lots of guests coming for the wedding and afterwards to visit. It is important that if you have guests coming to visit that you communicate that to the guards. They are very good about security and your guests will have a hard time entering the property if you don't alert them. I felt completely safe on the property. Every staff member were amazing. They are all hard workers and strive for excellence during your stay. Please remember to tip the ladies and security guards during your stay. You will be blessed in abundance when you take care of others. Thank you Mrs. Good for everything!

Very good property, excellent views, some maintenance needed
We had an great time at the Villa. We were 2 families (4 adults, 6 kids). The view of the property is incredible and sunsets are magnificent. The house is in very good shape, clean and tidy. Maintenance is needed in all Air Condition equipment. Service provided by the local people was very good. The beach was not as clean as we had expected (plastic bottles, and some trash here and there). The sea, blue and transparent, is a little bit dangerous in this spot (rocks and strong currents), so you should be careful when going into the water. The surroundings (out of the closed community) are not great. This place is clearly not La Romana or Punta Cana. You should expect no availability of services and places to hang around or emergency quality health services if needed. Security seems to be an issue since armed security was all around the property, and one guy sitting in the back of our backyard 24hs a day, but we had no incidents at all and everything was smooth.

Glad to hear you and your family had a great time in the villa and enjoyed the magical views. The Cabarete area is well known for water sports and has a lot to offer to travelers . We have everything from zip lines to monkey jungle and a large variety of restaurants and bars line up the beach just 5 minutes from the villa . There is plenty of action outside our peaceful resort . Since our beach is almost private there is some debri washed way by the tides . I always recommend using caution when swimming on the beach , the wave action is always changing with the weather systems. The security guards keeps any intruders from wondering into the properties , our guess always feel safe and secured . Security guards are costumary in all resorts in the DR . In the event of a medical emergency a high quality emergency room and inpatient facility with several US trained doctors 10 minutes from our resort . I am sorry if you had any air conditioning issues . Our technician is on call 24/7 to help . Thanks for choosing Villa Celeste for your family vacation .

Paradise Vacation!
We had a wonderful time at your villa! It was obvious the villa is very well maintained and was spotless when we arrived. The pool and hot tub were clean and everything was in perfect order. The amenities included really made it seem like home. Thank you for your communication and attention to our questions leading up to our stay. Everything was stocked when we arrived and ready to go. Your tips on things to do were really helpful and we even enjoyed a bonfire on the beach made by security. ALL of the security staff were very helpful and available at all times. The villa is very beautiful and the location is perfect...you should be very proud of what you have there! The pictures(although beautiful) do not do this property justice and we were surprised to find it even better than we expected! Chef Arsenio was awesome and the food was fantastic! He was very helpful with any and all requests we had around preparation of the food and the use of certain seasonings. What will stand out in our minds just as much as the beautiful villa and wonderful location is your impeccable staff. Dorka and Cathy were phenomenal! They did a fabulous job keeping everything clean and straightened. They were very respectful of us...if we were in a certain room they would go to another room to clean and then come back later. It was amazing...they were never in the way or hardly seen but kept everything immaculate during our stay! Breakfasts and lunches were always ready on time and delicious. One of our absolute highlights of the entire trip was meeting Franklin! He has phenomenal interpersonal skills and was like an old friend within the first 5 minutes we met him. HE DEFINITELY made our stay much more enjoyable! He was extremely helpful and provided us anything we needed while we were there. His help with communicating with other staff and security was very beneficial. Franklin is a very special person and I know you are thrilled to have him! We made an instant friend and we plan on staying in touch with him in the future. He took our kids between the ages of 24-27 and ventured out with them and showed them a great time! They fell in love with Franklin just as we did! We never had a concern and we knew they were in good hands! We highly recommend acquiring the services of Franklin! Just to be perfectly clear.... this vacation is the Best!
Our family visited Villa Celeste at Hideaway Beach very near Cabarete, Dominican Republic, this past week. We had the most relaxing, personally tuned and cared for vacation of our lives. We were transported professionally to Villa Celeste, greeted by Familia Security, the local reastauranteurs, groundskeepers, and friends of the family. We felt like family to these local people and their community. Each day we found new adventures: Our sons found great daily surf conditions 4 – 10 foot. We rode horses on many days of our vacation. Beautiful horses reside at the Seahorse ranch a few minutes away from home. The horse rides are fun and well overseen by experts. We visited many local places of interest with Franklin: our driver, guide, and friend. “Just to be perfectly clear, we are 150%” going to find fun for your family. Dorka and her helpers take care of all household needs from 9-5 including breakfast and lunch: American and/or Dominican style. They are sweet, respectful and one can trust that each item will be in its same place after meticulous cleaning has happened. Familia takes care of the security and grounds with a keen eye. There is is a serene local beach with a local family atmosphere. The home, Villa Celeste, remains a piece of local beauty. ~ 6,000 square feet with a King upper and lower Master Suite, with 3 other bedrooms, each with its own refrigerator, TV, and A/C. The vestibule, porches, terraces, pool, and all the grounds are impeccable. The beach, surf, local restaurant, and family atmosphere are great. The family of helpers at the Villa Celeste remain the crown jewel of this vacation. We can’t wait to come back home to the Dominican Republic, Franklin, and Villa Celeste! Wonderful Retreat
My wife and I just returned from an 11-day stay at Villa Celeste. This villa is very nicely built and has nice decor and amenities. The wood doors on the cabinetry and closets, combined with the furniture and wall paintings, made the villa warm and friendly. The view from the back patio looking out over the pool, the backyard, and then the ocean behind is simply fantastic. It was a scene we wanted to bring back home with us. Also, we really enjoyed the privacy of the backyard, the pool and the jacuzzi. Franklyn, the driver that was always available to help us when we traveled away from the villa for sightseeing or dinners, became our friend quickly. His friendly smile and demeanor made it easy for us to become quick friends. Dorka was very attentive to maintaining a clean villa. One of our primary needs is for a vacation home to be clean. Dorka was excellent. Villa Celeste is the type of home one wishes to return to time and time again. Chez Arsenio's was a short walk from the villa. Excellent food, a friendly staff, and very reasonable prices made this a regular stop for us. In Cabarete, our favorite restaurant is Bliss. If you go to Cabarete for dinner, this place is definitely one to visit.

Amazing Villa in Amazing Place
We had really great time in Villa Celeste. The place is in a great shape, well maintained and groomed. People are very nice and helpful including housekeeping, security, drivers. Definitely recomend in-house cooking option, just don't forget to learn a bit of Spanish to get the most of it :) The beach is just a few steps from the villa, very clean and very private. The only thing to be aware is that the tide is quite strong so be careful especially if with young children. Thank you!

We enjoy the very private beach on calm days but exercise caution on stormy days specially if there is a tropical weather system around like right before you arrived . Traumhafte Villa mit super Service
Meine Frau und ich, unsere 2 Kinder mit deren Ehepartnern und 4 Enkelkindern (4-15 Jahre alt) waren vom 02.10.22 bis 14.10.22 in der Villa Celeste zu Gast. Am Flughafen wurden wir von einem (etwas zu kleinen) Minibus abgeholt. Nach ca. 30 Min. kamen wir in der Villa an und wurden von den beiden Hausmädchen begrüßt. Sie hatten bereits ein sehr leckeres Abendessen (Hähnchen, Reis und Salat) für uns vorbereitet. Der Kühlschrank war mit den vorab bestellten Lebensmitteln und Getränken gefüllt. Die Hausmädchen waren täglich ab 9:00 Uhr im Haus und erledigten alles, was im Haushalt zu tun ist: Putzen, Geschirr spülen, Wäsche waschen etc. Das Beste aber war, dass sie bei Bedarf für uns kochten. Die erforderlichen Lebensmittel und Getränke kauften wir alle 2 Tage im 7 km entfernten Supermarkt ein. Dazu organisierte uns Franklin jeweils ein Taxi. Die Lebensmittel sind dort allerdings sehr teuer (1 großes Glas Nutella kostete umgerechnet 20,-€). Dazu kamen Taxikosten von jeweils 25,-€. Der Garten und der Pool sind ein Traum. Der Strand ist etwa 50m vom Haus entfernt und das Wasser mit 20°C angenehm warm. Es hat uns dort so gut gefallen, dass wir nur 2 Ausflüge in den 12 Tagen unternommen haben. Den Strandabschnitt vor dem Haus hatten wir fast für uns alleine. Ein paar hundert Meter weiter östlich gibt es eine Surfschule wo unser beiden älteren Enkelkinder einen Kurs im Wellenreiten machten. Ebenso ist in der Nähe die "Coconut"-Bar und Restaurant, wo man sehr gut essen kann. Vielen Dank nochmals an die Hausmädchen und die Vermieterin Celeste, die immer per WhatsApp erreichbar war, wenn man sie brauchte oder Fragen hatte. Herzliche Grüße Wolfgang und Familie
