Great location, poor management
Stayed for a week. Great location and in general fantastic time on this trip. However property management did not meet our expectations based on the following facts-
Locked out of apartment upon arrival (no code or complete checkin instructions provided prior to arrival). No response from property manager for about 12hrs while we tried to figure out how to get in.
Electronic lock on apartment door would occasionally stick and had to climb through window. about 24hrs after notifying Manager` was provided actual key to remedy situation.
Hot Water was not turned on prior to arrival. After we figured out how to turn it on it was brown. After we flushed it out the water smelled funny for duration of trip. Water did not smell like this elsewhere on island so we did not use hot water. Not that big of deal given the climate.
AC in one of the rooms did not work most of the week despite a temporary fix one day from maintenance. Another day Maintenance came over to fix it again unscheduled and without a key so he could not enter to try and fix it again. They did bring in an extra fan that helped.
When approached property manager after checking out for partial compensation was threatened with poor review (some inaccurate story about it being our fault we couldnt check-in upon arrival?!) and that they would try to find reasons to charge back for stealing and/or breaking things at the property (of which no examples were given). Also they felt they did a good job.
