We enjoyed this little get-away where we stayed 8 nights.
This home is all you need for your casual vacation. It's settled in the middle of a banana plantation, overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Daily calls from the rooster next door and daily visitor from three friendly stray cats, made our time fun and restful. The barking of dogs in the surrounding was sometimes a bit annoying. We got our daily exercise by parking the car on the street and walking the rather steep 5 minutes to our home. We enjoyed taking drives around the island. Everything seems just minutes away and after 2 weeks we had a pretty good idea of the beauty of this flower island. Victor was very helpful both upon arrival and departure. I'm sure we'll be back. It was a lovely break from our cold Canadian weather.

Wonderful
Everything was perfect, we loved our vacation in Madeira and in this house with a perfect view. Vitor and Ana were very kind and, even if anything is very far at Madeira, we enjoyed the location of Arco da Calheta to do our daily hikes and to rest at the beach of Calheta. The weather was also very good in comparison of other location in the isle. Thank you very much !

Perfect stay among Bananas
This house is amid banana plants with a wonderful view to the ocean and mountains. A short walk from the street to the house is no problem and you can see how they grow, handle and harvest the bananas here. Vitor is very kind and helpful, if you have questions. He waited for us although our plane came very late in the night.

Wohnen im Bananenhain
Wir haben eine Woche in diesem sehr schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Es liegt in einem Bananenhain und bietet einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf das Meer und die Berge. Die Terrasse geht um das Haus herum, so dass man je nach Wunsch in der Sonne oder im Schatten sitzen kann. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, in der Küche ist viel Geschirr von guter Qualität vorhanden und der neue Gasofen funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Anreise war sehr gut beschrieben, so dass wir das Haus ohne Schwierigkeiten gefunden haben. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und sagen "Muito Obrigado" an Ana und Victor.

Perfect place for Madeira exploring
If you looking quiet, very comfortable place where every morning you can welcome looking at sea this is place for you. Surrounded by banana trees it's exactly what me and my friends were looking for. Kitchen has everything you need, there is plenty of space inside. Supermarket is very close. Contact with host was also perfect. We can recommend that ok place without any doubts.

Traum mitten in einer Bananenplantage
Die Anfahrt vom Flughafen wurde von der Gastgeberin ausgezeichnet beschrieben. Die Schlüsselübergabe richtete sich nach Ankunft des Fliegers - nach einem kurzen Anruf vom Flughafen wurden wir herzlich am Haus empfangen. Das Parken an der Straße war kein Problem und nach einem kurzen Spaziergang durch eine Bananenplantage konnte der Urlaub in einem wunderbaren Haus mit Traumausblicken beginnen! Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, sehr sauber. Die Betten waren vorbereitet, Handtücher mehr als ausreichend vorhanden. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Ein großer Supermarkt befindet sich wenige Autominuten entfernt am Hafen. Auch Ausgangspunkte für Wanderungen sind schnell erreichbar. Wir haben die Woche auf der Insel sehr genossen und Madeira lieben gelernt. Danke Ana, danke Victor!

Eine wundervolle Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Ausblick
Es gibt wirklich nichts zu meckern. Hier hat alles gepasst. Ein sauberes schönes Haus das zusätzlich von einem fantastischen Ausblick auf die ganze Bucht lebt. Wir haben jedes Frühstück auf der Terrasse genossen. Victor war ein sehr hilfsbereiter und liebevoller Ansprechpartner vor Ort, so musste man sich wirklich um nichts Sorgen machen. Diese Unterkunft kann bedenkenlos empfohlen werden.

My friends and me really enjoyed our stay. The apartment especially the terrasse is beautiful. The apartment is big and clean. It is really quiet and located in a banana farm. Herrliche Lage!
Das Haus liegt in einer Bananenplantage, vollkommen ruhig mit traumhaftem Meerblick! Ganz toll! Das Haus selbst ist doch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt abgewohnt. Die Schränke und Kommoden haben einen modrig, muffigen Geruch, so dass wir die Türen und Laden offen gelassen haben. Das Zubehör in der Küche (Besteck, Kochutensilien usw.) würde erneuert gehören, die Messer sind nicht scharf und alles wirkt eher alt und verbraucht. Der Gasherd hat grobe Mucken, es brennen nicht alle Flammen und das auch nicht gleichmäßig. Bei all diesen erwähnten Dingen könnte man doch einiges besser machen! Ansonsten war soweit alles in Ordnung, die Betten waren recht gut, wir haben gut geschlafen. Die Bettwäsche und die Handttücher waren sehr sauber (bis auf den Geruch bei denen die im Schrank lagen). Alles in Allem war es ein angenehmer und erholsamer Urlaub.
