The house 'Sun and Moon', is located in the West of Madeira Island, in a pleasant area Arco da Calheta. Between the Mountain and the sea, with a frontosa landscape, has private garage, gardens with private pool and equipped barbeque. Inside it has 2 bedrooms with private bathroom, air conditioning in the rooms with balcony to the outside equipped with bed linen and bath towels has central heating with wood burning and dining room has wall heating. On the 1st Floor a nice terrace. Wi-Fi, local cable V. MEO. We have a game table with games available.
Heated pool from November to April. The accommodation is equipped with bed linen and bath so that your stay and choice is unforgettable. Children are the responsibility of the Parents.

Beautiful house, environment and host

We loved our stay at Cristina's amazing house. The location was beautiful, with a spotless kitchen, garden, pool and moreover gorgeous views of the ocean and Calheta. Cristina was above and beyond an incredible host. She was so generous with food, supporting us when our luggage was lost and overall a beautiful person.

Cristina is an exceptional host - having an evening meal prepared on arrival was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Perfect house and garden! Superb hospitality by the owner, Cristina, who surprised us with a an excellent lunch on the day of arrival and a well prepared dinner during the week. Never experienced this earlier. We felt welcome and at home from the first moment we arrived.

Wir hatten einen rundum tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus! Das Haus ist groß, sehr gepflegt und wunderschön eingerichtet. Besonders die traumhafte Aussicht, die riesige Terrasse und der tolle Pool haben uns begeistert. Alles war super sauber.Ein Highlight gleich am ersten Abend: die Haussitterin hatte für uns gekocht, einfach perfekt nach der langen Anreise. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, außerdem gab es sogar 2–3 Mal einen Putzservice während unseres Aufenthalts (ein echter Luxus!).Das Haus liegt etwas oberhalb des Ortes an einer steilen Straße, die aber gut befahrbar ist. Mit dem Auto erreicht man alles schnell und unkompliziert.Die zwei Schlafzimmer befinden sich auf unterschiedlichen Etagen. Ein Punkt, den man je nach Reisegruppe berücksichtigen sollte.Auch die Außenküche war fantastisch: bestens ausgestattet, sehr sauber und mit gekühlten Getränken gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis. Perfekt für gemütliche Abende mit Blick auf die Landschaft. Wir haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt und noch nie so toll gewohnt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus für langen Aufenthalt geeignet

Die Kommunikation mit Cristina ist hier hervorzuheben. Es war so, dass unsere Flug erheblich verspätet war, Cristina hat mich jedoch mehrfach beruhigt und geschrieben, dass ich mir keine Sorgen machen muss. Dora, die Haushälterin, war dann am nächsten Tag, auch zeitig am Morgen da und hat uns herzlich empfangen, komplett, aber auch nicht nervig eingewiesen und hat uns dann auch noch ein Willkommensmenü gezaubert. Das war alles super nett. Dass Haus ist sehr geräumig und vor allem, wie bei uns, für Eltern mit älteren Kindern Kindern perfekt geeignet. Mit kleinen Kindern vielleicht eher nicht, da der Pool frei zugänglich ist. Madeira an sich ist auch eher nicht mit kleinen Kindern geeignet.

Perfektes Haus mit Weitblick für 2 bis 4 Gäste

Sehr schönes großes Haus mit Pool. Sehr gute Ausstattung, übereinstimmend mit Beschreibung. Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war hervorragend. Zweimal in der Woche wurde gereinigt und die Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt. Absolute Empfehlung.

Haus mit sehr guter Fernsicht

Wir wurden von Dora (Haushälterin), die im Obergeschoss wohnt, mit einem 3- Gänge-Menü empfangen. So etwas ist denke ich einzigartig.Sehr großzügiges Haus, mit vielen Terrassen / Freisitzen.Allgemeine Ausstattung, reichlich vorhanden.

Wunderbar!

Das Haus ist wie in der Beschreibung und wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. So liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr großzügig für 4 Personen mit vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Kontakt zu Cristina war über WhatsApp und sie hat schnell reagiert, wenn man ein Problem hatte. Wir sind bei unserer Ankunft mit einem leckerem 3-Gänge Menü empfangen worden, danke an Beatrix und Dora. Wir empfehlen das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter!

Ferienhaus zum Wohlfühlen

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft in 400m Höhe (steile Anfahrt!!) mit Blick aufs Meer, viel Platz, einer riesigen möblierten und sonnigen Terrasse, mit einem wunderschönen Garten und beheiztem Pool. Wir wurden nett empfangen mit einem leckeren Fischgericht, ganz vielen Bananen und mit Ostersüßigkeiten verabschiedet. Die Ausstattung in Küche und Bad mehr als üppig! Das große Wohnzimmer gemütlich. Bei kühlen Außentemperaturen ist es im Haus allerdings sehr kalt. Einen großen Supermarkt und gute Restaurants gibt es nur in Calheta. Vielen Dank an Cristina, Dora und Tochter Beatrix.

Tolles Haus mit genialer Außenanlage

Auch wir wurden mit einem hervorragenden 3-Gänge- Menü verwöhnt. Das Haus ist exakt wie im Inserat beschrieben. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, aber immer die Privatsphäre beachtend, umsorgt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ausgezeichneter Aufenthalt mit tollem Ausblick

Kurzum können wir die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig und günstig für Ausflüge gelegen. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr schön angelegt und prima gepflegt. Das Haus selber ist stilvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und mit allen Alltagsgegenständen in großer Menge ausgestattet. Da wir im Februar da waren, hatten wir täglich den Kamin in Betrieb, da es verhältnismäßig kühl war. Ausreichend Feuerholz stand hierfür kostenfrei zur Verfügung.Zuletzt gilt unser Dank Cristina und Dora die sich um sämtliche Belange, Anfragen und Wünsche sofort gekümmert haben und sogar beim Anreisetag sowieso zwischendurch für uns gekocht haben. Das war wirklich eine gelungene Überraschung.Jederzeit wieder gerne!!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft

Es gibt nur ein Wort, grandios!!!! Noch nie hatten wir in einer Ferienunterkunft einen besseren Service wie hier. Und mehr als das. Wir wurden mit einem Dreigängemenü begrüßt. Das Haus war picobello, und wurde zwischendurch auch immer wieder gereinigt, Handtücher gewechselt etc. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Pool und die Aussicht auf den Atlantik grandios.Toll ist auch die Outdoorküche und die vielen schönen Ecken und die Terrasse zum chillen, so dass man gar nicht weiß wo man sich zuerst hinsetzen soll. Cristina ist sehr herzlich und eine hervorragende Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank für so einen schönen Aufenthalt, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wunderbar!

Cristina ist eine sehr sympathische Gastgeberin, der daran gelegen ist, dass es den Gästen an nichts fehlt. Wir kamen sehr spät an, doch Cristina holte uns gut gelaunt am vereinbarten Treffpunkt ab, lotste uns zum Haus und überraschte uns mit festlich gedecktem Tisch, selbst gekochtem 3-Gänge-Menü und stimmungsvollem Kerzenlicht überall. Ein wunderschöner Urlaubsauftakt. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt: zweimal pro Woche wurde geputzt und die Betten frisch bezogen. Alles ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und von der riesigen Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Atlantik. Nochmals vielen Dank für alles, Cristina!!! Wir können jedem empfehlen, dort Urlaub zu machen.

Ein perfekter Urlaub in einer wunderschönen Unterkunft

We have from April 11th. until April 18, 2024 spent a vacation in Madeira in Cristina's beautiful house. We felt very comfortable there for two reasons: First: The house is 100% as shown in the pictures. Everything you need is in the house. The kitchen is fully equipped. The beds are super comfortable. What needs to be particularly emphasized is the cleanliness of the entire house. The geographical orientation of the house is perfect for a holiday, as you have sun in the garden, by the pool and on the terrace from around 9:30 in the morning until 8:00 p.m. The pool is heated as described. It almost goes without saying that the garden is also extremely beautiful and well-kept. The whole house has a great view of the village of Arco de Calheta and the sea, but what topped it all for us is the huge terrace. The view from here took our breath away. The terrace is equipped with a comfortable sofa, two sun loungers and a dining table for 4 people. There is an awning above the table to provide shade if needed. The second reason why we felt so comfortable is the host Cristina. As described in the other reviews, we were also greeted with a home-cooked meal. In between there was cake and chocolate. But from our point of view, it is particularly worth mentioning that Cristina is an incredibly nice, polite, empathetic and very kind person.
