"A beautiful Japanese house in picturesque countryside on the road around Sun Moon Lake. The room is a delight and tea very zen. Dinner in a traditional courtyard house was superb. "

"We stayed here two nights with our kids. The staff was wonderful, they drove us around and helped us find the best sightseeing places. We would be happy to stay there again."

"This property is exceptionally well-maintained. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a wonderfully refreshing, subtle scent that sets a lovely tone. I was particularly impressed by the impeccable cleanliness throughout – from the elevators and corridors to the room and bathroom. A delightful surprise was the inclusion of Cha Tzu Tang (茶籽堂) shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, which are high-quality, natural products. It truly elevated the stay!

"I wasn't sure if i got bit by the bed bugs or it was the mosquitoes from outside of the hotel in the city. I got bite every time i was there. Great breakfast buffet though. "
"This was a very nice place to stay for one night while passing through Taichung on my way to Sun Moon Lake. It's an older bullding, but very well renovated. My room was huge by Taiwan standards with a comfortable bed and clean private bathroom. The hotel offers some free snacks with your stay and some discounts for the cocktail making machine in the lobby. It was a nice touch. The area is convenient for the train station, albeit a little seedy - but that is the general vibe in Taichung."
"I recently stayed at Hotel Euphemia in Taichung and had a very positive experience. The hotel ticks all the essential boxes for a comfortable stay in the city.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The hotel maintains high cleanliness standards throughout, which is always my top priority. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained. A major plus was the laundry service - incredibly convenient for travelers, especially those on longer trips who need to refresh their wardrobe.
Staff & Service
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and being responsive to any questions. Their warm hospitality added a nice personal touch to the stay.
Location
The location is fantastic for both relaxation and convenience. The hotel is close to a park, which provides a pleasant green space and nice surroundings - perfect for morning walks or unwinding after a day of exploring. The neighborhood has a peaceful, local feel.
Practically speaking, finding places to eat was effortless with numerous dining options nearby. There's also a 7-Eleven right in the vicinity, which is perfect for grabbing drinks, snacks, or any essentials at any hour.
Overall
Hotel Euphemia offers excellent value with its combination of cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient location. I'd recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable, no-fuss base in Taichung with easy access to daily necessities and local amenities."
"Arrived around 10am, room was not ready, they try to expedite and the room was ready around 1pm,so aprreciate by early check in and upgrade to bigger and clean room. Staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast is delicious, many choices. Only thing is no hair conditioner provided, the hotel was connect to a shopping which can easily access, so no problem for getting any amenties."
"Beautiful property just minutes from Taichung Railway station. Room was well furnished and staff were welcoming. They have a free laundry room for guests which is really handy. Right across from Miyahara for all your ice-cream and dessert needs. Plenty of food options within a walking distance."
