Lovely apartment, gorgeous grounds
My 16-year-old daughter and I stayed in the Magnolia apartment, which was was clean, well-equipped, and well-suited to our needs. The patio looked towards the pool and out over the Tuscan hills — it was lovely to sit there in the morning or after a day of touring. The pool is delightful and the setting could not be more perfect. The property is about 15 minutes from Lucca and there is a little grocery store walking distance from the apartment. They make their own cured meats and have a good selection of cheeses. We were able to pick up all we needed there. It’s open in the mornings and then again in the late afternoon and evening. We highly recommend them! In addition to seeing Lucca, we’d recommend seeing the Villa Reale, which is about eight minutes down the hill and has beautiful grounds. Communication with reception was always easy, and Francesco in particular was very helpful. I would recommend the apartment to any friends and family thinking of visiting Tuscany.

Great Experience
Great property. Feels very tucked away, but connected to many cities of Italy as long as you have a car. Also, the villa on site (not where you stay but is in property) was built by Napoleon.

A lovely place to relax, enjoy the views, and sunshine.
We enjoyed 5 nights at the end of July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff on site were very friendly and organised. The pool was splendid with an amazing view of the Tuscany hills. The flat was clean and had all the amenities we needed. My only negative feedback is the listing which states in two places this is a 3 bedroom villa/flat which is what we were looking for with three children ages 10, 13, 15. After we booked we read the fine print of the listing which said the 'Bedroom 3' is a sofa-bed in the lounge. Very misleading but at the same time I have a relaxed 15 year old who took it on the chin and camped out their under the fan and good air conditioning for the 5 nights.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!
This property was amazingly clean and very nicely decorated. The furnishings were extremely comfortable and inviting. It was a wonderful place for our 4 day stay in the mountains by Lucca. The communication was easy and we would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a very relaxing and well appointed apartment while touring the area around Lucca.

Lovely location, stunning views
The Villa Guinigi is located in a stunning area (be ready for the twists and turns on the road up). Gene provided excellent info in advance and on site Enrico was very helpful and assisted us with every enquiry we had. The pool is wonderful. The Magnolia is a compact accommodation- very rustic Italian. We enjoyed our stay.

Oasis in the Hills
Stunning views from the Villa complex with a lovely drive ( somewhat hair raising at times ) into Lucca and beyond. Stunning restaurant just up the Hill. Check when booking re Pool as its outdoors and not heated.. I mean cold! very cold. But lovely lovely lovely .

Vieles stimmte nicht bei den Angaben der Ferienwohnung
Der Aufenthalt war schön. Die Anlage insgesamt perfekt. Allerdings war die Ferienwohnung angegeben mit 3 Schlafzimmern. Das stimmte nicht. Es waren nur 2 Schlafzimmer vorhanden. Allerdings gab es im Wohnzimmer / Küche ein Schlafsofa. Die Wohnung war angeben mit über 80 m2. Es waren aber nicht einmal 50 m2. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Es gab auch nur eine nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage, die dann auch ausgebaut wurde. Die 2 Schlafzimmer waren nicht klimatisiert. Der Schirm auf der Terrasse war defekt und konnte uns nicht mehr beschatten. Es ist schon eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung aber ein bisschen mehr Ehrlichkeit wäre bei dem Preis schon angemessen.

Toller Service/ tolle Anlage
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. 2-3 Mängel wurden sofort beseitigt/ ausgetauscht. Auch bei möglichen Ausflügen/Aktionen waren sie sehr hilfsbereit. Unser Hund wurde freundlich behandelt. Manchmal waren die vielen Kinder am Pool etwas laut, sodass man dort die eigentliche Ruhe nicht immer genießen konnte. Aber das ist ja ein sehr individuelles Bedürfnis unsererseits. Die Wohnung war etwas klein und entsprach nach meinem Gefühl nicht ganz der angegebenen Größe. Es hätten vielleicht auch noch ein paar Küchenutensilien mehr vorhanden sein können.( z.b. Salz und Pfeffer). Das Appartement über uns war sehr hellhörig. Da hatten wir glaube ich etwas Pech. Aber wie gesagt, wir sind auch insgesamt sehr Ruhebedürftig. Alles in allem durchaus zu empfehlen!

Schönes Anwesen mit toller Ausicht
Wir hatten eine schöne Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, nur wenige Meter vom Pool und seiner tollen Aussicht auf Lucca und Umgebung. Der Pool war für die Anzahl der Gäste völlig ausreichend und es gab genügend Liegen mit Sonnenschirmen. Wie überall mussten natürlich auch hier wieder übereifrige Gäste in aller Herrgottsfrühe Liegen mit Handtüchern "reservieren" - wann hört dieser Blödsinn endlich mal auf? Die Wohnung war sauber, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Stühle und das Sofa dürften etwas bequemer sein, aber da wir sowieso viel unterwegs und andonsten im Pool waren, hat es uns nicht weiter gestört. Mückennetze sind vorhanden - und die braucht es auch. Man sollte sich abends auf der Terrasse schützen, da doch einige Mücken und andere Fluginsekten herumfliegen und stechen oder beißen. Bei der Anfahrt genau auf die Beschilderung zur Villa achten. Wir sind versehentlich einmal geradeaus durch ein Tor gefahren - es erschien uns logisch - und uns dann auf einem Feldweg wieder gefunden. Wir hätten links statt geradeaus fahren müssen, ein Schild zeigt das auch an, also aufpassen. Toll ist, dass es viel Grün auf dem Gelände gibt. Überall gibt es Möglichkeiten, sich auf einer Liege zu entspannen. Auch der Spa-Bereich ist klasse. Wir konnten ihn aber leider wegen Wartungsarbeiten nicht richtig nutzen. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte als erste Station einer Toskanarundreise.

Traumhafter Ausblick und tolle Umgebung. Die Gartenmöbel sind in die Jahre gekommen und müssten ausgetauscht werden. Küchenutensilien könnten mehr sein, ansonsten praktische und landesübliche Ferienwohnung.

Jeder Tag total erlebenswert!
Wir haben in der Villa mit Kindern und Hund unsere Osterferien verbracht und es war fantastisch! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, der Ausblick überwältigend und die Mitarbeiter hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle (danke Enrico, Chiandra und Walter!). Da die Anlage etwas abseits des Geschehens liegt, ist abends und Nachts auch wirklich Ruhe - etwas ungewohnt für Stadtmenschen, aber herrlich. Im Radius von einer Autostunde ist so viel zu erreichen, dass man locker 10 Tage jeden Tag etwas Neues erleben kann. Wir kommen sicher wieder her!

Magnifique propriété : calme et bien placé
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec mon mari et mon petit garçon de 15mois. La propriété est situé à 20 mins en voiture de Lucca, dans la campagne Toscane. La piscine et la vue sont magnifiques comme sur les photos. C’est calme: idéal familles respectueuses qui souhaitent du calme et de la verdure.

Que dire de notre séjour fin Avril 2018, nous avions réservé un Apt en rez de jardin vu face à la piscine extérieur pour que les enfants en profite tous les jours car nous avons eu que du soleil . Hélas en arrivant pas de piscine extérieur pire que ça en travaux superbe vu devant l’Apt la déception pour les enfants.Nous avons payé pour une piscine extérieur , un terrain de tennis non praticable rien de tout ça que du vent.Mais il y avez la piscine intérieur non chauffée bien froide à 16°. On nous a proposé le remboursement du séjour si nous partions mais nous avons refusé car nous n'avons pas trouvé ailleurs pour la fin des vacances. Attention au belles photos qui ne sont pas la réalité, d'après le propriétaire sa demeure est la plus belle du monde mais nous monsieur en France nous avons également des demeures magnifiques avec un vrai service irréprochable sans arnaques.

As it is perfectly visible from all our past reviews, this is the first time in 10 plus years that our property received a negative comment, and dismayed by FALSE remarks. The reality is so future guests fully understand the FACTS and not incomplete remarks. FFACT, Outdoor pools are not open before May in Tuscany, as the temperatures are usually STILL CHILLY. As a matter of fact,when you discovered that the pool was closed for maintenance you asked our staff some help for finding another hotel with open pool, but there wasn't any in the whole area. Not another facility, fact. Since our aim is to have happy clients ( guests vist year after year as they love the Villa, with multiple pools and spectacular views and more)FACT, our staff offered you a 100% refund if you preferred leaving, instead you chose and decided to stay. The pool deck was under restoration ( A NEW decking completed shortly after your departure) and the works had been delayed DUE TO bad weather during April, but there was just ONE day of works during your stay. Our staff even spoke with another guest of your group while you were leaving, that seemed quite HAPPY of the holiday after all, so we are very surprised in reading your comments and we are regret that you haven't been able to appreciate the beauty of a special place like Villa Guinigi, as all previous clients did. In fact, before your low rated star we have and continue to have 4.8 to 5 star reviews from guests from all over the world. That’s the reality of the true situation and other travelers should be completely aware that our property, facilities, staff, landscaping, indoor and outdoor pools are all well maintained to the highest standards and those you visit are normally DELIGHTED by their memorable pleasant visit, reasonable rates and excellent services provided. If anyone has any questions in the future they will be fully satisfied with the most beautiful environment and facilities, pools, spa, sauna, meditation rooms, sun beds, landscaping and Villa in mint condition as always maintained spotless by housekeeping, with comforts of a “Home Away from Home”. Our best wishes, and good travels to you and family. You hav3 done a disservice to the grateful guests. Très belles prestations et cadre pour cet appartement. La région est superbe. La villa guinigi dispose d'un point de vue magnifique, avec une grande tranquilité, la piscine est top. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr.

Georgeous getaway!
We spent 3 nights at the Magnolia appartment. With 2 bedrooms big enough to accomodate 2 adults and 2 children. Fully equipped kitchen, the patio in front is a nice place to sit. The whole facility is well maintained. Lucca is only a 15 to 20 minutes hop away. We went there for dinner and strolling around. We strongly recommend it! Thanks to Enrico! Thanks to Gene! Regards
