Surfs Up!
This is a bright, tastefully decorated, and very well equipped apartment nestled on the edge the dunes. A short sandy walk leads right to the beach and waves. The apartment has a parking spot and our car didn't move for three days as we walked and biked - using the ones conveniently provided by the owners - all around Cap Breton, which is a lovely town. The site manager gave us lots of good tips on what to do and where to eat and was very easy to work with. Definitely looking forward to another stay here.

Unfreundliche Kommunikation vor Ort trotz toller Lage
Die Lage ist ein Traum. Das Haus ist jedoch zusammengeflickt mit einem Anbau. Türen sind laienhaft eingebaut, ebenso wie Schränke. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass das Haus gerade verkauft werden soll, dass nicht mehr investiert wird - das Sofa war dreckig und abgesessen, Geschirr teilweise angeschlagen und kaputt, das Schloss des Gartentors funktionierte nicht mehr. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist das Haus mit kleineren Kindern nicht geeignet, da es keine Fläche zum Spielen gibt. Den größten Abzug gibt es jedoch für die Hausverwaltung vor Ort. Schon die Anreise war unentspannt, wir sollten angeben, wann wir da wären, kurz nach der vereinbarten Zeit kam bereits die Nachricht, wo wir denn seien - die Verwalterin hatte sich allerdings im Tag vertan und war 24h zu früh. Dennoch minderte das Gefühl, einen Termin halten zu müssen, die Entspannung bei der Anreise im Stau am kommenden Tag deutlich. Gleiches galt bei der Abfahrt. Ohne dass es vorher angekündigt wurde wollte die Verwalterin eine Abnahme machen - wir hatten das Haus so verlassen, wie wir es vorgefunden haben und am Tag zuvor noch schriftlich mit ihr abgesprochen, wo wir den Schlüssel hinterlassen. Wir bekamen dann eine sehr unfreundliche Nachricht, die uns auf der Rückfahrt die Freude am Haus nah der Wellen gänzlich nahm. Es gibt einen Schlüsselkasten am Haus —diesen zu benutzen wäre die deutlich bessere Wahl gewesen, so war es nur Stress und schlechte Laune Pluspunkt für die Fahrräder und Bodyboards vor Ort

Wir haben sehr die Nähe zum Strand genossen! Das Appartement ist in der Küche mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht in. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Appartement ausreichend Platz!
