"This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival."

"We had a lovely stay here in August. The home is beautiful and the outside space with the pool overlooking the river was even better! Sofia and José were great and provided everything we needed, including some samples of the local wine! Great base for day trips to Porto or the many wineries. "

Plenty activities to keep kids busy. You do need to have your own transport for accessing Porto. Thanks for hosting us."

"The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. The host is quick to communicate and was a gracious host the five days we were there. Unobtrusive and but helpful. If you get that chance to stay here, do! You won't regret it."

"Our stay was made especially pleasant by the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner. He could not have been better. Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. The swimming pool was a wonderful attraction on hot days."

"Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The "kids" (11-25) engaged in a ferocious competition including foosball, ping pong and billiards. "Great location for visiting Porto. Close to important museums and castles. Many dining options close as well as a very complete supermarket. Each unit is fully furnished with bathroom and small kitchen. Would recommend to any travelers to Porto."

"This really is a beautiiful villa.....so spacious, lots to do and very well equipped. We enjoyed the tennis court, pool, billiards and gorgeous setting. Comfortable beds! Mario was great as a host, could not have asked for more - very responsive, flexible, caring and just at the end of what'sapp on the couple of times needed.
