Car Rental Essex

Once you've covered all the great places in Essex, there's heaps more to see in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and get on the road. We've pulled together some road trips we know you'll love:

• You'll find Budweiser Gardens and countless other amazing attractions in London. From Essex, it's approximately 100 miles away.
• Your next stop? Sarnia, which is around 60 miles away. Canatara Beach and Park is one local draw card you shouldn't miss.
• Get out into nature and inhale the fresh air at CN Tower. It's about 200 miles from Essex.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Canada, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to what kinds of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before sliding behind the wheel. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with your rental car.
