Car Rental Hexi

There are so many things to do in Hexi, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can wander around the surrounding region at your leisure. Add these fantastic drives to your itinerary:

• Beijing is about 70 miles from Hexi. Renowned tourist attractions like Great Wall of China deserve to be high on your list while you're in town.
• Why not check out the wonders of Fangshan too? Major tourist attractions in this buzzing city include Peking Man at Zhoukoudian. Fangshan is about 85 miles from Hexi.
• Bishu Shanzhuang is 140 miles from Hexi and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in China, then you might need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
